The AZ GOP legislature has hired the ninjas from FL to 'find' 10,000 votes for Trump in AZ so that he can declare himself the winner. It's similar to how he demanded that Raffensperger 'find' 12,000 votes for him so that he could 'win' Georgia a few days before Congress finalized the electoral count on Jan. 6 (the day of Trump's riot at the Capitol) to be used as ammunition to convince Pence and Congress to overturn the election. The current AZ recount is occurring about three and a half months after Jan. 6.

The AZ GOP is selectively targeting Maricopa county which contains Phoenix but is not examining other counties where Trump won by a large margin. Maricopa is the most opportune location to try to reduce votes for Biden.

Trump's groups have tried the same approach in other states. Trump wanted an extensive signature matching investigation in Fulton county which contains Atlanta where Biden won with a large margin. Wayne county in MI which contains Detroit is another example. Some of Trump's people even wanted to narrow it down to particular precincts within Wayne and throw out Biden votes from those precincts.

It can't get too much more selective than that, other than simply handpicking individual votes for Biden and disqualifying them.

This Maricopa county which Phoenix is in that's where most of the winter people go to right?
Interesting how they were slow getting there this year because of the covid and it went blue......... Ought to check that red roster real careful like..
Methinks it's a case of lack of fraud this year...

Half of all conservatives still insist the sun revolves around the earth. The only voter fraud possible is to fool yourself into believing for one second that they give a crap about the truth or who wins. They want to attack their own government, and anyone who tries to stop them.

An objective audit had already been completed in February.

    excerpt:

"Biden’s win in Maricopa County was previously confirmed through a number of other reviews, including a hand recount of a sample of ballots conducted jointly by both political parties, as well as a forensic audit conducted by federally accredited labs that was ordered by the county and concluded in February.

The results were certified by a unanimous vote of the five-member county board of supervisors, which includes four Republicans. Gov. Doug Ducey (R) has said he believes the state’s November election was a model of integrity.

But other party leaders have backed Trump’s attacks on the results in a state that has traditionally been a Republican stronghold.

Fann has referred questions about the audit to Cyber Ninjas chief executive Doug Logan and Ken Bennett, a Republican former secretary of state who volunteered to act as a spokesman for the effort."

The AZ recount will cost AZ taxpayers $150,000.

    excerpt:

"Logan also refused to answer questions about his own views of the election, saying only that they did not bear on the accuracy and transparency of the process he was leading.

The Cyber Ninjas chief executive has ties to several figures who played leading roles in attempting to subvert the 2020 election results.

Logan has confirmed that he authored a document titled “Election Fraud Facts & Details” that was posted on the website of Sidney Powell, another pro-Trump lawyer who filed challenges to the election and who appeared at a November news conference with Trump’s personal attorney Rudolph Giuliani.

The document asserted that Dominion Voting Systems, which provides tabulating machines in Maricopa and elsewhere, had connections to Venezuela and that the company’s equipment is vulnerable to hacking by foreign powers. Dominion has said such claims are false and has sued a number of Trump allies who made similar assertions."

Biden could have the pope himself bless the results, and rest assured that Fox News will certify them as well.

Logan, Sidney Powell, Lin Wood, and Giuliani are affiliated.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...320b72-a3a4-11eb-a774-7b47ceb36ee8_story.html

    excerpt:

"Logan also has worked with Wood, who said in an interview that he met Logan when the Cyber Ninjas executive was doing work related to the election with Powell’s team. He said Logan investigated security issues he was having with his foundation’s website. “He’s a talented young man and a Christian,” Wood said.

Wood said that his foundation had donated $50,000 to the group Bobb founded to fund the Arizona audit and that he had encouraged his followers to contribute as well. The donation was first reported by Talking Points Memo.

He said he was “100 percent confident” that the audit, “if conducted objectively,” would produce signs of fraud. “Donald Trump won the election,” he said."

Trump ranted again on Friday about governor Ducey of AZ for not overturning the election for him.

Ducey followed the law and signed the AZ certification after muting Trump's phone call (Hail To The Chief ringtone) as he was preparing to sign it.

I’m 100% confident that this guy is an idiot.
This isn’t about voter fraud, it’s that Biden’s policies seem to be popular with the populace. If they’re popular with the populace, the republicans may be sol.

The recount isn't being conducted in a county-owned facility because the county election board, controlled by Republicans, didn't give permission. The recount is being conducted at a stadium with live feeds provided by One America News Network, the network Trump has embraced after he felt Fox was no longer on his side.

Fight to vote: Arizona county’s ‘ludicrous’ election audit

    excerpt:

"The Maricopa county board of supervisors, which is controlled by Republicans, isn’t on board with the effort. It agreed to turn over ballots and election equipment after Republicans got a court order, but refused to allow the audit to take place in a county-owned facility. Republicans are now paying to rent out an entire stadium to conduct the audit.

“This audit, it seems as if they are seeking a predetermined outcome. They want to find fraud,” said Martin Quezada, a Democrat in the state senate. “They need to find fraud in order to justify all of their actions and in order to keep this radical wing of their constituency happy. They need to find fraud. So they are intent on finding it.”"

The GOP state legislature in AZ used a court order that turned over ballots and Dominion voting machines to the AZ state legislature which now claims that its operations are part of its legislative actions which it says are immune from interference from the courts.

The unsettling aspect of the current recount effort in AZ and Trump's meddling with the MI legislature and his pressure call to the GA secretary of state is the potential for someone like Trump, with the help of legislators, to overturn a presidential election without evidence and to do it outside the scope of the elections board and other state entities that are in place and competent to handle such issues objectively (as they did in MI, AZ, and GA post-election).

The MI state legislature has legal protections that make it difficult for the slate of electors determined by the public vote to be replaced with a slate selected by the state legislature. Part of the rationale for the difficulty is to prevent people like Trump from interfering with the election results of the states. Trump summoned Shirkey and Chatfield of the MI state legislature to meet with him at the White House a few days before Michigan's certification of the 2020 vote results. They stayed at Trump's hotel in DC.

As part of its voting restriction bill, The GOP in GA recently changed its elections chairperson from one who is elected by the public to one who is appointed by the legislature and who could potentially be replaced by the legislature on the (potentially false) grounds that the person was under-performing. Critics say that it makes the election system prone to manipulation by the party that is controlling the legislature. Trump has tried to implement this type of approach by reclassifying some federal civil service employees as appointees which makes them amenable to being politically removed or reassigned under the guise of under-performance..

The results of the current recount in AZ could give bogus ammunition to the GOP legislators in AZ to make restrictive election law changes similar to those that occurred in GA in March 2021. State legislative action that manipulates election results in the future could be deemed by legislators to be outside the scope of the courts, like what is currently being claimed by the GOP legislature in AZ during the recount it is implementing of the 2020 presidential election.

Number of Capitol riot arrests of military, law enforcement and government personnel rises to 52
Most were retired at the time, but at least 10 were still actively employed.

Number of Capitol riot arrests of military, law enforcement and government personnel rises to 52

    excerpt:

"As authorities investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol continue to pore over images and video of the riot, they've encountered a distressing trend: A growing number of alleged perpetrators had previously served their country.

At least 52 active or retired military, law enforcement, or government service employees are among the over 400 suspects arrested for their alleged actions at the Capitol, according to an ABC News investigation based on military records, court records, interviews, and publicly available news reports. The arrests include over half a dozen ex-police officers and multiple former elected officials -- and represent some of the most significant and violent charges brought in connection with the deadly insurrection.

Mary McCord, a longtime national security official who now runs Georgetown University's Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection, said extremism among those with military or law enforcement backgrounds is a serious problem that needs to be addressed immediately.

"I'm not really surprised that there is a substantial subset of defendants who come from these backgrounds," McCord told ABC News. "For veterans, the sense of mission is very important, so [Veterans Affairs] should be looking into how they can better serve veterans and help facilitate productive missions for them.""
