    My first car, a 1967 Volkswagen Sedan. $500, bought in 1971. Put lifts on the suspension and oversize tires on it for the shitty roads on St Thomas in the USVI. So many potholes... it was perfect for the steep hills and sharp corners, easy to park in a small space and it had a roof rack.

    That is a beautiful example of the very nice Karmann Ghia...they actually drove quite nicely!

    They also created the Type 3 Variants of the VW...

    Ford came out with the flat head V8 in 1932. Chevy came out with their first V8 in 1955.
    Friend of mines father had a V12 in some car--forget what it was. V12s were first built in 1904!

    Wish I had pictures of ALL the cars I have owned--many from the 30s, the 40s the 50s, the 60s etc, etc. Fist one was a 37'Plymouth coupe I bought for 25 bucks in 1955.

    THIS IS EXACTLY LIKE MY FIRST CAR THAT I BOUGHT FOR 25 dollars!

    Wish I had pictures of all the cars I have owned from the 30s, the 40s, the 50s, the 60s, and later models. Wish I had kept the cars--I'd be a millionaire!!
