I believe she is a Trobriand islander.

I was looking around after seeing the picture of the woman with the potatoes in this thread. It reminded me of trobriand Islanders who typically give potatoes sweet potatoes actually and pigs as a gift even to people that they don't really know. I did a search for pigs potatoes and trobriand Islanders and I believe this woman was among the results.

We studied the trobrian Islanders when I took cultural anthropology several years ago at a community college. They are interesting and very culturally unique. The thing that stands out the most is that affinity for pigs and potatoes! They also travel between islands by raft or small vessel. In that way they are seafaring.
