79' ford pinto. I drove one of these death traps for 3 yrs. I hated it. kept wait for it to blow up on me. lol. but the damn thing actually ran pretty nice.
My first car was a Pinto, I was 16 it was all I could afford, it was great lil car, I couldn’t kill it.
The only Ford I ever owned was an early 70's Maverick. It was half dead when I bought it and I couldn't kill it in the month I literally beat the hell out of it. Off road? "Sure"... Slam into the metal pole at the corner store? "every morning before coffee"... Ever check the oil? "Nah... engine still runs" Sold it for scrap, drove it to the junkyard. It looked really sad. Only reason I had it was I was putting the ford 9 inch rear axle in my 1970 Duster and needed something to get to my day job.
Would that not be a Ford Mexico ? My uncle rallied in one of those in the early 70s .He had a "K" plate ( 1972 I think )
