‘We like the job she’s doing’: Georgia GOP rallies around MTG

    excerpt:

"But at the Georgia Republican Party convention this weekend, it was hard to find many critics of the lightning rod congresswoman.

“It’s like saying it’s ‘hot as hell,’” Debbie Dooley, a founder of the Tea Party movement in Atlanta, said of Greene’s Holocaust comparison. Dooley was among a group of attendees wearing large “We Love Marjorie” pins on Saturday with her face in the middle of them.

Greene did not attend the convention. But when asked about her appeal, more than 20 party activists and officials mentioned her disregard for political correctness and approach to politics as a “Washington outsider.” Many said they appreciate her willingness to say what she believes, even if it is inaccurate or dangerous — the same traits they admired in former President Donald Trump.

“If that were me up there, I’d be doing the same thing. Though she probably does it with more tact,” said Sara Lain-Moneymaker of Chatham County, one of the hundreds of first-time attendees at the convention.

Cooper Jacks, the chairman of the Georgia Teen Republicans and a native of Greene’s north Georgia-based district, was met with a standing ovation after mentioning the congresswoman in his Friday remarks to the convention. The 14-year-old began as a volunteer for Greene’s campaign before becoming a paid staffer. Having followed her around the state with the America First tour — which Greene launched in May alongside embattled Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz — Jacks said a rousing response to her was commonplace."

Trump, Greene, Gaetz, Giuliani, and Lindell. Role models of the Republican party.

The GOP has devolved into a morass of sickness.

Trump lit the torch for that mindset in 2015 when he launched his candidacy.

Six years later and after a riot at the Capitol, little has changed.

Makes me wonder how many of the votes for Trump are actually legitimate. It really doesn’t matter since he lost, but maybe he lost by a greater margin than what was broadcasted. All this focus on Biden’s votes, there HAS to be more fraud out there with Trump ballots.

What ever happened to being accountable for what you say? Oh, I remember now, that only applies to some.

Trump and his following want to overturn a legitimate election by force, like the riot at the Capitol, including killing people they don't like. Behavior related to an election can't be more fraudulent than that.

In other words, "The party's over... call it a day..." where's the aspirin? The GOP's not so secret secret is out, that the idiots will vote for whoever screams the loudest, making it impossible to practice meaningful politics. The chickens wouldn't recognize the simple truth if it bit them in the ass, and they will eventually retreat and live to fight another day, in about three years. That's their pattern, is to over-play their hand, retreat, and start over again.

The Durham investigation seems to have evaporated.

Justice Dept. to Keep Special Counsel Investigating Russia Inquiry

    excerpt:

"Both Mr. Trump and the attorney general at the time, William P. Barr, had publicly said they were certain that Mr. Durham would uncover grave offenses, if not outright criminal behavior, that supported the idea that the Russia investigation was a plot created to sabotage Mr. Trump.

But Mr. Durham never lived up to their expectations. The only criminal case Mr. Durham has brought was against Kevin E. Clinesmith, a former lower-level F.B.I. lawyer, who falsified information in an email from the C.I.A. that the bureau used to renew a wiretap order that targeted Carter Page, a onetime Trump campaign aide. In the weeks before the 2020 election, Mr. Trump and his supporters expressed outrage that the Durham inquiry had not produced anything useful to Mr. Trump’s campaign efforts.

In October, Mr. Barr secretly appointed Mr. Durham to serve as special counsel to continue his work. The move gave Mr. Durham independence from a possible Biden administration and made it very difficult for a new attorney general to end his investigation, all but ensuring the Durham inquiry would live on after Mr. Trump left office."

Maybe he can rent out his cell to inmates for a few packs of smokes, when he's in the prison yard exercising or working in the machine shop.

    McCarthy has done an about-face.

He initially supported Cheney in her leadership role after Trump's riot. Later, he visited Trump at Mar-a-Lago.

As usual, Trump was able to change the mindset and behavior of someone who had visited him to his liking.

Cheney: Trump inciting Jan. 6 riot 'the most dangerous thing' a president has done - CNNPolitics

    excerpt:

"McCarthy has changed his tune regarding Trump's accountability for the January 6 riot, which resulted in more than 100 police officers injured, halted Congress' counting of the Electoral College votes for more than five hours, and forced lawmakers into lockdown when pro-Trump rioters overran the US Capitol Police. A week after the riot, McCarthy said that while he didn't support impeaching Trump, he "bears responsibility for Wednesday's attack on Congress by mob rioters."

But about two weeks later, the California Republican visited Trump at Mar-a-Lago, where the two Republicans discussed strategy for winning the House majority in next year's midterms, according to a readout of the meeting provided by Trump's Political Action Committee Save America. CNN reported at the time that Trump was focusing his political energy on targeting Cheney.

In May, McCarthy announced his opposition to forming a bipartisan commission to investigate the January 6 attack, an effort that failed in the Senate later that month when Senate Republicans blocked it.

While McCarthy backed Cheney in her first leadership vote in February after her vote to impeach Trump, their relationship crumbled as Cheney continued to speak out against the former President's grip on the GOP. McCarthy backed her opponent, Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York, who ultimately beat Cheney in the vote for House Republican conference chair last month."

McCarthy might even be willing to give up a chance at becoming Speaker of the House if Trump runs in 2022 to become a member of the House and coerces his way to become Speaker if the GOP takes back the House.

It raises the question of what exactly Trump does to people when meeting with them in person. He casts a spell over people.

McCarthy changed his mind after meeting with Trump and turned on Cheney.

Rod Rosenstein should have become AG, and yet he resigned and gave a glowing praise of Trump.

Trump's White House doctor said he could live to be 200 years old if he cut back a little on the fast food.

Guess no one had the nerve to tell the 'emperor' he had his pants on backwards... like the time he walked up the stairs to Air Force 1 with toilet paper stuck to his shoe.

Looks like the Velveeta Voldemort has blown a fuse or two... Another thought is those are stretch suit pants with elastic in the back to fit over his ever fatter ass.

That would be karma. Here’s a thought, Trump is elected to the house and becomes speaker. He then has Biden, and Harris knocked off. Voila! Guess who is president?
Note: I don’t think trump will run for the house.

I have actually thought that trump will live a long life as a bitter old man.
His tombstone will say “I was robbed”.

So long as Donald Duck can run his mouth, he's as happy as he gets. You could stick him in a rubber room, and he'd still have to run his mouth or die of a heart attack.
