On a visit to Europe to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the first world war, Donald Trump insisted to his chief of staff, John Kelly: “Well, Hitler did a lot of good things”, emphasizing German economic recovery under Hitler during the 1930s. Trump made the remark during an impromptu history lesson in which Kelly “reminded the president which countries were on which side during the conflict” and “connected the dots from the first world war to the second world war and all of Hitler’s atrocities”. Kelly told Trump that even if his claim about the German economy under the Nazis after 1933 were true, “you cannot ever say anything supportive of Adolf Hitler. You just can’t.” That was the same trip where he decided to remain in his hotel watching TV rather than attend a wreath-laying at an an American cemetery, and called American soldiers who died in the war “losers” and “suckers”. Trump told chief of staff Hitler ‘did a lot of good things'
Kevin McCarthy has given in to the pressure and decided to go ahead and appoint GOP House members to the January 6 Committee. Among the possible choices are Jim Jordan and Elise Stefanik, people who will downplay the severity of the riot and Trump's role in it.
Goddamn……(smh) What a fool. I wish I was there to see Kelly talk him through that shit. Fucking idiot!
Trump supporters can blame the Toyota driver for not yielding to the Trump supporter driving the motorcycle who was violating the law by running the red light. A group of Trump rioters at the Capitol shoved a police officer who fell back onto a stairway, struck her head, and went unconscious. After she regained consciousness, one of the Trump rioters reportedly said, "Why did you get in our way? We didn't want to hurt you."
Sixth month anniversary of Trump's riot at the Capitol. Over 535 charged six months after Jan. 6 riot: DOJ
Stafanik replaced Cheney as the chairperson of the House Republican Caucus after Cheney was removed for countering Trump's allegations about election fraud.
Well, it's the same thing about 9/11. Just keep telling the big lie, over and over and over and over, get rid of the evidence, make people disappear and eventually it goes away.....
Poor impulse control. The chickens have been conditioned so badly to peck at everything, defensive driving is an oxymoron. You can rest assured, he died fighting for the freedom to change lanes.
It’s possible that if McCarthy is subpoenaed he will have allies on the committee to lob softball questions at him. Example: Kevin did you sell meatball sandwiches at your sandwich shop?
If one reads as much as possible that has been written about Hitler, you come to realize that all he was selling was hate. Nothing else.......yet, he was able to get enough support to make other countries concerned about Germany taking over the world. How could so many people he swayed by an agenda that included only hatred, exclusion & propaganda? (Of course, some folks might think that everyone in Germany was a member of the Nazi party; yet, at it's height in 1945, only 10% of Germans belonged). What have we learned since that time? Not enough, if we were able to elect Donald Trump as POTUS. But isn't his agenda similar to Hitler's as far as 'hate' is concerned? In 2016 (and still), it's an agenda of the negative. They're against everything; immigrants, Afro-Americans, Muslims, LGBTQ, Obamacare, the media, voting rights, higher education.....and the list goes on & on. They repeat charges over & over without being able to show evidence of their opinions. Do Democrats do that, too? Of course they do, but not nearly to the extent of the GOP. Whether 'Hitler did some good things' or not isn't really the point. That tens of millions of Trump supporters see him as a positive force after hearing him spout these things is the real problem.[/QUOTE]
Seems to me that hours of video explained most of it. Now, where to put all those felons in which prisons?
My bad, bro. I’ll remove that comment- didn’t clearly think that one through. That’s not fair to decent Germans I’ve met throughout life-my sincere apologies.
And Nancy very well could reject McCarthy’s GOP recommendations for this committee. She has all the bipartisanship she needs with Liz Cheney being a member already, and hopefully Liz will be the one asking McCarthy some questions. McCarthy keeps stepping on his ding-ding, and with golf cleats….
