U.S. Capitol rioter arrested after Bumble match reports him to the FBI

"A Texas man has been arrested for his alleged role in the breach of the U.S. Capitol on January 6 after his Bumble match reported him to the FBI, officials say. He’s the second man to get caught after boasting about the crime on the dating app.

Andrew Taake, the 32-year-old owner of the Hi-Flow washing service in Houston, was arrested on Friday after the FBI received a tip from his match on the Bumble dating app.

“Taake discussed his participation in the riot with Witness 1 and sent Witness 1 several pictures of himself, including a picture of himself taken on January 6, 2021, after he was allegedly pepper sprayed by law enforcement officers,” an FBI agent said in the criminal complaint.

Asked if he was near the action, Taake told his match that he was there “from the very beginning,” according to a blurry screenshot released by investigators. He further admitted to being inside the Capitol building for about 30 minutes.

In following up on the tip, the FBI reviewed flight records which showed that Taake had flown from Houston to Baltimore on January 5. They also found publicly posted videos and photos in which the man is shown inside the U.S. Capitol at the time of the riot."

Edward George Jr. arrested on charges for connection to Capitol riots

"According to an indictment issued July 7, George is charged with obstructing Congress' certification of the 2020 Electoral College vote; entering and remaining on restricted property; conducting disorderly and disruptive conduct on restricted property; unlawfully entering and remaining in the Gallery of Congress; conducting disorderly and disruptive conduct in a Capitol Building; parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol Building; obstructing, impeding or interfering with a law enforcement officer; assaulting, resisting or impeding a law enforcement officer; and stealing and or disposing of an American flag and flagpole from the Capitol Building.

At George's court appearance Thursday he pleaded not guilty to all charges and waived his right to a speedy trial, federal court records show."

 

All that's needed now is someone who stole an American flag and pole from the Capitol building, threw the American flag on the ground, placed a Trump flag on the pole, and used the pole to beat police officers (for protecting members of Congress who wouldn't overthrow a legitimate election for Trump).

 

Even more enigmatic and disturbing is how someone as deranged as Trump can induce such a cult following comprised of everyday people, many without prior criminal charges, to the point of rioting on behalf of his lies, including landscapers, firemen, police officers, military members, school teachers, therapists, probation officers, DEA agents, Olympic gold medalists, and pastors.

 

Florida pastor facing U.S. Capitol riot charges has court hearing

"WASHINGTON, July 22 (Reuters) - A 72-year-old Florida pastor facing federal criminal charges arising from the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol by supporters of former President Donald Trump took part in a preliminary hearing on Thursday before a judge.

James Cusick Jr., pastor of the Global Outreach Ministries of Melbourne, Florida, faces four misdemeanor charges related to the riot, including violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds. His son Casey Cusick, 35, also a pastor at his father's church, faces similar charges but did not participate in Thursday's hearing.

One of the their parishioners, David Lesperance, 69, also faces similar charges. Lesperance did not take part in the hearing.

AZ audit "director" kicked out of recount building as chaos escalates

"Republicans once referred to Ken Bennett as the "director" of their widely-panned audit of votes in Maricopa County, but he has reportedly lost his privileges to even enter the building where the fiasco is taking place.

Bennett, who served as Arizona's Secretary of State and president of the state Senate, was the one person associated with the recount with experience in elections. He was officially listed as the liaison to the state Senate, which paid $150,000 of the $9 million the audit is reportedly costing.

"Questions are mounting about who is in control of the long-running partisan review of Maricopa County's 2020 election results — the Arizona Senate, which ordered it, or the outside firms that are running it," The Arizona Republic reported Friday evening. "On Friday, Ken Bennett, the Senate liaison to the audit, was not allowed into the building at the state fairgrounds where the audit is taking place, a day after he shared data with outside critics from an ongoing ballot count."

"While this work is supposedly being overseen by Senate representatives, many times that oversight is not there," the newspaper noted. "The Cyber Ninjas have for weeks resisted getting outside checks of the audit, insiders say.""
