It's 10:30 am, and I just finished mowing the lawn. It is 90 F and high humidity, so I am soaking wet, trying to cool off so I can shower. It will be close to 100 F today, so I'm staying inside where it's cool the rest of the day.
Once upon a time... I took my mate-to-be to Puerto Rico. We were sitting in shoulder-deep clear-as-glass seawater, and she expressed concern over a 2" juvenile permit circling us like a shark. I had just reassured her that we weren't on the menu, when the little bastard swam in an nipped me on my right nipple. "Goddamn it; now I'll never get her top off!" P.S. As it turned out, I was wrong
This one went out of it's way to do it. Swam passed 5 other people. I was like are you kidding me? lol The 4th time it got my nipple.
dreampt about making things. yesterday to the little store, tomarrow to the big one. still need to get my shots. still need to get a phone to make appointments. still need to get rid of being charged for a phone i haven't had for years, so when i do get one i can get one with unlimited data. reason for not having all the roundtuits is having to leave the house for them and having to risk the bus where there are still dillheads who refuse to cover their noses. so i'm still only leaving 'the house' when i absolutely need to for groceries. glad they opened the resteraunts back up so far, but i suspect that's not going to last, with corona delta numbers going back up. northern nevada had been lucky about that in relation to most other places, until now. no luck lasts for ever. good or bad. (glad i'm not in india, or southern cali, or any place equatorial, although the heats just as bad. and with all the fires, when the rain ever does come back, it'll wash the whole side of half the hills of mud down into the valleys.)
(moon's day) went to the little store because i got up too late to make it to the big store and back without risking the heat and air quality. (tue's day) today is cooling off enough to make it to the big store whatever time of day i'm awake to do so. high of 91 expected, yesterday was 99. might even get some percip, smoke still there, fire producing it still less then 50% contained, that's the one consuming most of alpine county, with a number of structures consumed in addition to all those thousands of acres of summer sheep pasture. the one by halliluya junction and the one near lake almanore still going to the northwest of us too.
today is always yesterday by a few hours, sometimes minuets, when i reply to this. tuesday, as predicted the weather was almost cool enough to be almost comfortable, which it was really early in the day, well for me early in the day, within the first hour the stores are opening up, which is sometimes before i go to sleep. made it to the big store. no longer desperately out of everything. still some things the 99cents, which isn't the round the block little store either, has that i consume that the big store, or that big store anyway, haven't been to the other big store in a while. they've been rebuilding the place where the other big store is and its about time i need to go and check out what they've build and changed. (the roof had been leaking so bad over the mall area near it, that they decided to pretty much tear the whole thing down and start over, which for that place was probably a good idea)
Did some mowing. More to do later. Now I'm waiting on one of the guys from the shop to bring my truck back... Then I have to pay $$$ for the work that was done. They have had it since Monday, so that's usually not a good sign...
Finished mowing for awhile, rain tomorrow... ____________________________________________________________ Truck seems fixed... maybe.
Spent a couple of hours just shredding old bills and receipts which accumulate over the months. btw love this new shredder which makes mince meat out of old documents - better than Iron Mountain.
