Poll: Two-thirds of Republicans still think the 2020 election was rigged

    excerpt:

"The latest Yahoo News/YouGov poll was conducted in the week following the first public hearing of the House select committee to investigate the Jan. 6 attack, which featured firsthand testimony from police officers who responded to the riot at the Capitol. The results indicate that the hearing did little to change the public’s perception of that event.

Since May, surveys have found that a majority of people — between 65 and 71 percent — believe the attack was not justified, and the latest poll falls within that range, at 69 percent. Blame for the Jan. 6 riot remained essentially unchanged from previous surveys, with 48 percent pointing the finger at Trump supporters who gathered at the Capitol, and the vast majority of that 48 percent blaming Trump himself."

Poll: Two-thirds of Republicans still think the 2020 election was rigged

    excerpt:

"A closer look at the respondents’ party affiliations shows a clear divide within these views: 81 percent of Democrats said Trump was responsible for the Jan. 6 attack, compared with just 9 percent of Republicans and 43 percent of independents. Only 15 percent of Republicans blamed Trump supporters who gathered at the Capitol for the violence that took place on Jan. 6, while 48 percent of Republicans said that “left wing protesters trying to make Trump look bad” were largely at fault. Conspiracy theories have falsely blamed liberal agitators like antifa for the attack."

And they (Trump right wing supporters/voters), will never, NEVER watch it, or get a clue.

*I wish that asshole that called me a moron a few months ago, would get back on here and grace us with his presence!

Top Republicans move to protect Trump from Capitol attack fallout

    excerpt:

"The Republicans’ journey into a universe of alternate facts became virtually complete last week after House Republican leadership, days after the harrowing testimony of police officers deployed to tackle the rioters shocked Congress once more, spun a new lie about the deadly attack.

No longer satisfied to simply pardon Trump for inciting his supporters to unlawfully stop the certification of Joe Biden’s election win, the No 3 House Republican, Elise Stefanik, blamed Pelosi – a target of the mob – for the violence on 6 January.

“The American people deserve to know the truth: that Nancy Pelosi bears responsibility, as speaker of the House, for the tragedy that occurred on January 6,” Stefanik said falsely from the steps of the Capitol."

The GOP has been blaming Pelosi for not having enough police on hand to defend against Trump's thousands of protesters, even though that is not part of her job function.

Trump and the GOP are also blaming Pelosi for the shooting of Ashli Babbitt by making unsubstantiated claims that the police officer who shot her was personal security for Pelosi.

Even if he had been, it was his duty to protect members of Congress, including Pelosi.

DeSantis blames media for being what he perceives as being judgmental of the unvaccinated.

Ron DeSantis deplores judgment against unvaccinated patients as hospitalizations rise

    excerpt:

:“With all due respect, I find that deplorable to blame a victim who ends up being hospitalized,” DeSantis said. “You don’t know their story. You don’t know what happened with that.”

DeSantis’ comments contrast those of Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey, a fellow Republican who last month expressed her frustration against her state’s unvaccinated residents.

“Folks (are) supposed to have common sense, but it’s time to start blaming the unvaccinated folks, not the regular folks,” she said. “It’s the unvaccinated folks that are letting us down.”"

Part of what happened with that is that people like DeSantis and Gaetz of Florida have belittled and mocked the coronavirus.

DeSantis' campaign website is selling 'Don't Fauci My Florida' T-shirts. Matt Gaetz mocked the names of the coronavirus variants, such as the Delta variant.

After belittling and mocking it, they blame the media for supposedly being judgmental of a problem that they helped cause.

I, for the life of me, can't understand why DeSantis is choosing to kill so many people, especially with the aged population of Floriduh. Even the governor of Ala-fucking-bamma is pushing that it's the unvaccinated that are keeping the epidemic rolling. Just stop to think, how much all this unnecessary hospitalization is costing Floriduh, zillions. At the very very least see it as a fiscal mission. Yes, I realize you want to make a run at the presidency, but try doing it by not being an asshole maybe.

DeSantis is trying another ploy to try to defend the fiasco he helped create in FL.

He's saying that the reason younger people are afflicted with the COVID is because (in his mind) he did such a great job of vaccinating the elderly.

DeSantis made the mistake of thinking he could get the elderly out of the way by vaccinating them and then everyone younger would be home free and it would be business as usual.

It didn't turn out that way.

Part of the reason for the unanticipated problem with people younger than retirement age is that DeSantis didn't anticipate variants like the Delta, the one whose name Matt Gaetz was mocking as if the variant is fake because he doesn't like the names that the medical community is using.

This is the one that affected Matt Gaetz's brain?

I've got news for him... His brain was fucked long before Covid ever showed up.

While the rest of the world mocks Matt Gaetz. Does he have nothing to do for his constituents?

Matt Gaetz: “You’ve had all the experts say look out for the delta variant or the lambda variant, well next it’ll be the Chi Omega variant or the Pi Kappa Psi variant."
