Trump was intent on pressuring top DOJ officials to make false statements about the election to be used as an impetus for GOP-controlled legislatures in the swing states to try to overturn the election for Trump.

Clark appears to have been Trump's main lackey at the DOJ. Trump apparently wanted to make Clark AG after somehow disposing of Rosen after Barr had resigned seemingly in frustration with Trump's election fraud allegations.

The scheme was thwarted by Rosen and other DOJ officials who threatened to resign, similar to what occurred in Nixon's Saturday Night Massacre.

Acting AG Rosen (due to Barr resigning) and his deputy Donoghue were probably becoming increasingly annoyed with Clark spouting crackpot truther narratives on behalf of Trump that he wanted the DOJ to investigate.

Imagine what it was like for Rosen and Donoghue to be badgered repeatedly by Clark with such narratives.

 

Why of course. The old 'flip votes from Trump to Biden via thermostats connected to voting machines and the Chinese internet' trick.

That's the second time they tried it this month!
