Lindsey Graham warns Trump that Jan. 6 riot may be his "political obituary" By Jason Lemon 8/14/21 at 12:56 PM EDT Lindsey Graham warns Trump that Jan. 6 riot may be his "political obituary" excerpt: "Graham did not vote to convict Trump; however, he blamed the former president for the violence of January 6. The Republican senator said in January that Trump's "actions were the problem" leading to the attack, asserting that his reputation had been "tarnished." Later in February, he asserted that Trump would be remembered in history for the insurrection. "Well, I mean, he's going to have a place in history for all of this," Graham told CBS News' Face the Nation at the time. Despite those remarks, Graham has worked to maintain close ties with the former president. The South Carolina lawmaker has said that Trump remains the central figure of the modern Republican Party. Graham has asserted that the GOP is now "the Trump party" and has said that Republicans can't "move forward" without the former president."
Graham saying that Trump's reputation was 'tarnished' by his deadly insurrection is akin to saying that Manson's reputation was tarnished by the Tate-LaBianca murders.
Michigan county GOP censures lawmakers who sought state inquiry into 2020 election fraud excerpt: "Republican Party leadership in one Michigan county censured three GOP lawmakers on the state Senate Oversight Committee after the panel recommended investigations of individuals suspected of using the fraud claims for personal gain. The executive committee of the Macomb County GOP unanimously approved a censure resolution on Thursday against state Sen. Ed McBroom, the Oversight Committee's chairman, as well as state Sens. Lana Theis and John Bizon, according to party officials. The censure follows the panel's determination that the state's 2020 election results were accurate and not subject to fraud."
Lauren Boebert - Wikipedia excerpt: "In March 2021, Boebert was one of 14 House Republicans, most of them members of the right-wing Freedom Caucus,[70] who voted against a measure condemning the Myanmar coup d'état that passed overwhelmingly.[71][70] In June 2021, the SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant was first detected in Colorado in Mesa County, in Boebert's congressional district. As the variant spread to make up 50% of Mesa County's COVID-19 cases, Boebert's Twitter account posted: "The easiest way to make the Delta variant go away is to turn off CNN. And vote Republican." The tweet was quickly deleted amid public criticism.[72][73]"
Honestly I hate to say this but it genuinely falls under the category of white privilege A brother would be happy just to be at home (ankle bracelet and all) rather than at the county lockup
Another Ohioan arrested in connection with Trump's insurrection. Ohio Valley native arrested for alleged role in Capitol riot excerpt: "JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio — An Ohio Valley native has been arrested for his alleged role in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. The case, filed through the United States District Court against Steve Billingsley, states that Billingsley live-streamed himself, including a first-person narration. The video appears to show him breaching a barricade and engaging in a "variety of conduct." In part of the video, Billingsley is heard shouting, "yeah, baby -- storm the Capitol. That's where the thieves are!" He also told officers he was, "going through the barricade" and said obscenities before saying, "this is our House." Billingsley is also heard saying, "who cares about them cops? We overpower them," and accused police of turning on them. He also shouted, "this is war" multiple times."
Junction is very nice in Winter because it is warm and sunny most of the time. It gets cold and snow but lots of sun too. I often went about in shorts and t shirt there in winter. The area is a great peach grower place. The town to the west of it is Fruita, named for the growers. Grand Mesa and Telluride are very close. As for that woman's diner, I have heard of customers who got the Tex-Mex Border Squirts a few hours afterwards.
Boebert was tweeting 1776 before January 6th and on that day a woman led the rioters to Nancy's office while yelling "It's 1776" and she was covered up well, including her face. Both voices are similar.
Nicolais: Mesa County clerk Tina Peters should be recalled for potentially criminal behavior excerpt: "Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Tina Peters not only bought into the Big Lie told by former President Donald Trump and his sock puppets, but took it to the next level. As a local election official charged with upholding the pillars of democracy, she undermined the votes of her constituents and potentially engaged in criminal behavior. Peters won’t resign, so the voters of Mesa County should take it into their own hands and recall her. While residents could wait until next November to oust her at the ballot box, there is good reason they should not. The most imminent problem is that Peters is charged with running both the primary elections and the general election. Given her blatant disregard for security rules and state law, there is little reason to believe she would not go even further to assure her own victory."
Nicolais: Mesa County clerk Tina Peters should be recalled for potentially criminal behavior excerpt: "Peters presents an entirely worse scenario. As an elected official with election oversight in the Western Slope’s most populace county, it does not seem unimaginable that she would purposefully disenfranchise voters, change ballots or engage in other acts treasonous to our electoral system. And she would likely view herself as a “patriot” the entire time. But here is the nightmare scenario: Peters inspiring other election officials across the country to join her crusade. The domino effect could lead to chaos across the country. While organizers failed to get the signatures necessary to oust her after she left hundreds of ballots uncollected and uncounted in 2019, they should not be deterred from a follow-up attempt. Simple error is very different from sedition."
Local district attorney's office executes search warrant in Peters' office CHARLES ASHBY Aug 12, 2021 Updated Aug 12, 2021 Local district attorney's office executes search warrant in Peters' office excerpt: "The 21st Judicial District Attorney’s Office executed a search warrant Tuesday of the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder’s Office in pursuit of evidence in a possible breach of elections security, District Attorney Dan Rubinstein confirmed Wednesday. That warrant was carried out at the same time that five employees of the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office also were inspecting the county’s election equipment and viewing other relevant documents as part of a state order issued Monday into a possible breach of election security protocols. That breach, if proven, could lead to a felony criminal charge."
Local district attorney's office executes search warrant in Peters' office excerpt: "“(Monday) I ordered the Mesa County clerk and recorder to comply with inspection of election equipment, video footage and other documents in the county,” Griswold said. “The clerk’s office must prove that chain of custody remains intact and that there has been no unauthorized access to voting equipment in the county.” That is suspected to have happened when Peters allowed an unknown man, whom she identified at the symposium Wednesday as an employee of Dominion Voting Systems, into a secure area that is restricted only to authorized elections personnel who have passed criminal history background checks. Authorities are attempting to identify that man, who sources have named as Gerald Wood. That symposium, at which Peters made a surprise appearance late Tuesday and is to reveal more information later today, is led by Mike Lindell, also known as the My Pillow Guy. Lindell is a fervent supporter of former President Donald Trump, and has repeatedly claimed to have evidence that his re-election was stolen, but to date has not done so."
Article about Olsen. This Pro-Trump Lawyer Was a Rising ‘Stop the Steal’ Star. His Firm Erased Him excerpt: "Furthermore, Olsen’s name also appeared on a memo that was hand-delivered to Trump in his very last days in office—a memo that also appeared to include a recommendation on resorting to “martial law if necessary.” When pillow magnate and staunch Trump ally Mike Lindell visited the White House to brief Trump and administration officials and attorneys on his wild claims of Chinese hacking efforts in the 2020 election, Olsen’s name even appeared in a photo of documents Lindell brought to Trump, next to figures like Sidney Powell and Kash Patel, as suggestions for who Trump should appoint to senior positions during his quest to stay in power. Lindell’s fondness for Olsen continued into the post-Trump era. As Lindell’s “cyber symposium” in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was ongoing last week, Olsen commented on a Washington Times story and was referred to as a member of the MyPillow CEO’s team of lawyers."
Article from January 2021. MyPillow Guy Presents Trump With ‘China’ Election-Fraud Theory, Lawyers Send Him Packing Asawin Suebsaeng, Senior Political Reporter Will Sommer, Politics Reporter Published Jan. 15, 2021 8:57PM ET Updated Jan. 16, 2021 3:39AM ET MyPillow Guy Presents Trump With ‘China’ Election-Fraud Theory, Lawyers Send Him Packing excerpt: "It’s not clear what point The American Report article, which is currently offline but preserved in archive form, wants to make. The banner image attached to the article alleges a wide-ranging election conspiracy that includes the Chinese government, telecom giant Huawei, the Czech Republic, Amazon, and even the German University of Stuttgart. The article claims, for example, that a device with a Huawei IP address "hacked into IP addresses" in a battleground state on Election Day, but fails to offer any proof that any hacking actually occurred. The American Report article appears to be tied into the conspiracy theory that the site has repeatedly championed after the election: a truly bizarre hoax that the CIA used a nefarious supercomputer called “Hammer” and a program called “Scorecard” to steal the election. That idea came from Dennis Montgomery, a software engineer and purported master hoaxster who claims to have created Hammer. But Montgomery is far from credible — he allegedly ripped off federal agencies for millions of dollars in post-9/11 America with software he claimed, falsely, could detect hidden al Qaeda transmissions."
Remarkable that someone like Lindell would be invited into the White House and squander a couple hours of time on truther narratives.
