STUNNING: Number of Republicans Who Think Trump Will Be ‘Reinstated’ Went Up By a THIRD Since Last Month

    excerpt:

"It has been almost 6 months since the political media world was set abuzz after The New York Times’ Maggie Haberman first reported that Trump was telling confidants that he believed he’d be reinstated to the presidency in August, reporting that was later confirmed by other outlets — and fed by delusions floated by Trump allies like MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell and attorney Sidney Powell.

And Trump himself appeared to confirm this in June when he told a crowd in North Carolina that “we’re gonna take back the White House, and sooner than you think.”"

    Article from June 2021.

NEW: In NRSC Video Trump Vows ‘We’re Gonna Take Back The White House – And Sooner Than You Think’

    excerpt:

"On Saturday the National Republican Senatorial Committee reportedly sent out a fundraising email that included a short video message from former President Donald Trump, in which he says they will take back the White House “sooner than you think.”

“I want to thank everybody for the tremendous support you’ve shown,” says Trump as the video begins.

“We’re gonna take back the Senate, take back the House, we’re gonna take back the White House, and,” he said, taking a swift but pregnant pause before finishing his sentence with “sooner than you think.”

“It’s going to be really something special,” said Trump."

Here's a White House we can "re-instate" Trump into... We could even lock it from the outside.

It's a money making scheme, trump doesn't believe it for a moment but followers are stupid enough and gullible enough to believe anything.

I remember how I felt when Hillary Clinton lost, i was upset for a couple of months then got over it and moved on.

But these Trump supporters are so fucked in the head, they just can't accept the fact that he lost.

There's no amount of evidence you could present to convince them, you can audit the election results, you can audit the audit, then audit the audit the audit and they still won't be convinced.

Christie was the first GOP governor to formally endorse Trump in 2016.

Trump's insurrection at the Capitol finally changed Christie's mind.

Christie’s calculus: Trump is ‘in the rearview mirror’

    excerpt:

"Christie’s calculated positioning is a long way from 2016, when he was the first Republican governor and the first candidate to drop out of the GOP primary and endorse Trump. Christie stood in for Trump’s Democratic opponents in debate prep that year and then chaired Trump’s transition team — all facts he mentioned Saturday, in his only mention of Trump’s name.

“For all the people who say they’re supporters of President Trump, the line begins behind me,” he said."

It would have been awkward if Trump had given Christie a formal position in his administration along with his son-in-law Jared Kushner whose father Christie put in prison when he was a prosecutor.

'Law-and-order' Trump picked Kushner over Christie.

Chris Christie: Jared Kushner's father committed 'one of the most loathsome, disgusting crimes' I prosecuted | CNN Politics

    excerpt:

“If my father is guilty, I would. Mr. Kushner pled guilty. He admitted the crimes,” Christie said. “And so what am I supposed to do as a prosecutor? I mean If a guy hires a prostitute to seduce his brother-in-law, and videotapes it, and then sends the videotape to his sister to attempt to intimidate her from testifying before a grand jury, do I really need any more justification than that?”

And Christie chose to continue to support Trump until the insurrection at the Capitol, even though Trump's behavior is similar to that of Charles Kushner whom Christie prosecuted (tax evasion, witness tampering, lying to the FEC).

Chris Christie: Trump knows better about election lies – or is just ‘plain nuts’

    excerpt:

"Some observers, however, question Christie’s sincerity in his stand against Trumpism, given his longstanding closeness to Trump.

Eric Boehlert, author of the Press Run newsletter, wrote critically on Friday about a CNN special, Being Chris Christie, due for broadcast on Monday.

“Today,” Boehlert wrote, “Christie is promoting himself, with the help of CNN, as a brave truth-teller who’s standing up to Trump and his Big Lie about the 2020 election … but Christie may have had the longest delayed conversion to the anti-Trump crowd of any Republican in America.

“Just last year Christie helped Trump prep for a presidential debate. After watching Trump get impeached, Christie still jumped at the chance to be near the center of power to help the maniac get re-elected … Days after helping with Trump’s prep, where everyone was unvaccinated and unmasked, Christie was hospitalised with Covid.”"

Trump claims half of legal experts support his failed attempt to block his election defeat. They don't.

    excerpt:

"Former President Donald Trump claimed in a new interview that half of constitutional scholars agree that former Vice President Mike Pence could have overturned his 2020 election loss, a move legal experts have routinely dismissed as an unconstitutional act likely to trigger a crisis.

Trump made the claim during an interview with ABC News' correspondent Jonathan Karl for his forthcoming book, "Betrayal: The Final Act of the Trump Show," slated for publication on November 16. Karl tweeted an audio snippet of the 90-minute interview on Friday.

"How can you - if you know a vote is fraudulent, right? - how can you pass on a fraudulent vote to Congress? How can you do that?" Trump told Karl about Pence's refusal to reject the election results when Congress met to certify them on January 6. "And I'm telling you: 50/50, it's right down the middle for the top constitutional scholars when I speak to them.""

Yes, Trump blatantly lies all the time........but then, why shouldn't he? It works!

When tens of millions of people agree with everything that comes out of his mouth.......and those folks can elect presidents........why shouldn't Trump lie?

True, we'd like to think that a lawmaker shouldn't lie because those lies can hurt the country and can diminish (or destroy) the concept of democracy........ but if those factors mean nothing to the Trump voters, why should he concern himself with the truth?

The media calls these good folks "less educated" but we must remember that the vote of a less educated person counts the same as anyone else's vote, as was proven in 2016.

Those people offended by Trump's lies had better get out and vote in 2024.

If Trump runs in 2024 and wins the primary, Christie once again has an opportunity to become Trump's fan and help him prepare for presidential debates like he did in 2020 and, if he wins, will have yet another chance to be part of Trump's transition team like he was in 2016. Like a battered spouse returning to the abuser for another round of punishment.

New Jersey has the last primary election in the USA. By the time Jersey gets to vote, the nomination is already won. Christie was not on the ballot anymore during our previous presidential primary. Trump had the nomination in hand.

Too bad Jersey Votes last & some good reasons to make our voting earlier.

‘Terrifying for American democracy’: is Trump planning for a 2024 coup?

    excerpt:

"Michael Waldman, who as president of the Brennan Center is one of the country’s authorities on US elections, told the Guardian that Trump was normalizing the anti-democratic fury that erupted that day.

“He has gone from being embarrassed to treating 6 January as one of the high points of his presidency. Ashli Babbitt is now being lionized as this noble martyr as opposed to a violent insurrectionist trying to break into the House of Representatives chamber.”

Over the past year Trump has spread the stolen election lie far and wide, telling supporters at his regular presidential campaign-style rallies that 2020 was “the most corrupt election in the history of our country”. He has used his iron grip over the Republican party to cajole officials in Arizona, Pennsylvania, Texas, Wisconsin and other states to conduct “audits” of the 2020 election count in further vain searches for fraud."

‘Terrifying for American democracy’: is Trump planning for a 2024 coup?

    excerpt:

"Foley sees parallels between Trump and the anticommunist panic or “red scare” whipped up by senator from Wisconsin Joe McCarthy in the 1950s. “What’s unique about Trump and about what he’s trying to do in 2024 is that he’s applying McCarthy-like tactics to voting, and that’s never happened before.”

Electoral McCarthyism is being felt most acutely at state level. In several of the battlegrounds where the 2024 contest largely will be fought and won, a clear pattern is emerging.

Trump has endorsed a number of Republican candidates for key state election positions who share a common feature: they all avidly embrace the myth of the stolen election and the lie that Biden is an impostor in the White House."

Jersey does not have its own media market. Media from New York & Philadelphia dominate. Political buys of media are expensive and inefficent cause your ad goes all over Pennsylvinia and New York. Its more of a retail politics due to that.

Jersey has 8 million people in a small area an easy bus ride from DC. an easy barnstorming state close to the nations capital.

Jersey is more diverse than early voting states like Iowa and New Hampshire.

Jersey is a better bellweather for Acela corridor politics than early voting states.
