You might not want to hang around this thread then. Worst things have come directly from his mouth while he was in the White House, and for all to hear, and all to see, all over the world. If this thread offends you, there’s other threads in the forum that may spark your interest. We’re venting over here…..

    I appreciate that advice, Eric.
No offense to the thread and the opinions, as I respect and learn from intelligent and thoughtful dialogue.
I have an interest in all opinions, and interject mine as if we are all in the same room.

I’m a former Army dude too, and none of the policies of the current administration has had any affect on me. Be careful with general statements., especially when you say “all” have been affected, and please be more specific as to which policies of the current administration have affected you, affected all of us, and how.

Rep. Anthony Gonzalez: 'The cold hard truth is Donald Trump led us into a ditch on January 6'

Anthony Gonzalez on Donald Trump: 'The cold hard truth is Donald Trump led us into a ditch on January 6' - CNNPolitics

    excerpt:

"Rep. Anthony Gonzalez of Ohio, a House Republican who voted to impeach former President Donald Trump in his second impeachment trial earlier this year, repeatedly slammed Trump in an extensive sit-down interview with CNN's Jake Tapper.

"The cold hard truth is Donald Trump led us into a ditch on January 6. The former president lied to us. He lied to every one of us and in doing so he cost (Republicans) the House, the Senate and the White House," Gonzalez said on "State of the Union."

He added: "I see, fundamentally, a person who shouldn't be able to hold office again because of what he did around January 6. But I also see somebody who's an enormous political loser. And I don't know why anybody who wants to win elections going forward would follow that. I simply, like, I don't get it ethically. I certainly don't get it politically. Neither of them makes sense.""

Trump's DC hotel purchased by investment group.

CGI Merchant Group purchases Trump hotel in DC; expected to remove Trump name - CNNPolitics

    excerpt:

"The Trump Organization has reached a deal with the investment fund CGI Merchant Group to purchase the lease for the Trump International Hotel in Washington, DC, for $375 million, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The Miami group is expected to remove the Trump name from the ornate building located a short walk from the White House and is partnering with Hilton Worldwide Holdings to brand it a Waldorf Astoria, according to the person familiar. The deal is subject to approval by the General Services Administration (GSA), which will conduct a 60-day review, because the federal government owns the property.

The Wall Street Journal first reported news of the deal.

The CGI Merchant Group declined to comment to CNN. CNN has reached out to the Trump Organization for comment."

That seems to be what matters to some of them.

Others of the same mindset may say, "We lost our democracy to a dictator, but at least gasoline prices are $2.50 per gallon instead of $3.

Well let's see. The rise in gasoline prices is due to increased demand due to a recovering economy, more drivers on the road, the time it takes for refineries to ramp back up after cutting back due to Covid and a prior lack of demand, and OPEC's refusal to pump more oil.
Inflation is rising due to an increased demand for products after a period of less demand due to Covid and the time it takes to ramp up production after same, labor shortages due to production demands, and world wide production and supply issues.

We now would have Covid under control if people would accept Bidens' Covid plan.
He passed the infrastructure bill that Trump just talked about.
The stock market has performed the best this year since the Great Depression.
Workers entering the job market have reached 5.8 million since last December.

And so on, but since you didn't cite any facts I'll stop here as it takes a lot of work to present facts vs opinions.

So freedom of religion has to go. Next will come freedom of speech if Trump is re-elected, we won't be able to criticize him. Not sure what other freedoms we'd lose but I'm sure we won't lose the right to bear arms. That's okay because if he does a coup then I'm buying a gun.

Christie, Cain, and Trump all contracted the virus and were sick enough to be in the hospital. Christie and Cain were engaging in risky behavior by congregating with Trump's people who scoffed at safety measures for the virus.

It's not known if Trump called Cain at the hospital to tell him not to blame him for contracting the virus after attending his rally in Oklahoma, like he did Christie.

Trump to Sell Marquee Washington Hotel for at Least $375 Million

    excerpt:

"But the hotel still served as a magnet for allies of Mr. Trump and top administration officials, who were often seen at the lobby bar, as well as Christian conservative groups and Republican congressional candidates who wanted Mr. Trump’s support.

The political operations run by Mr. Trump and his family, as well as the Republican National Committee, also spent hundreds of thousands of dollars at the hotel, as it became a frequent spot for fund-raising events. In total, more than $3 million in payments from political committees came in since early 2020 to the Washington hotel, Federal Election Commission records show.

The hotel, according to audits turned over to House investigators, still lost about $5 million to $10 million a year before depreciation losses were accounted for, meaning a total loss of about $74 million from 2016 to 2020, the audits showed.

But if the reported price for the purchase of the lease is completed as planned, it appears that the Trumps will gain a considerable profit on the sale, as the payment is higher than the capital investment the family made when renovating and opening the hotel. The sale of the lease allows the Trumps to pay off a loan they obtained for the property."

Trump says Republicans could have kept the White House if Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy had 'fought harder'

    excerpt:

"During an interview with ABC News Chief Washington Correspondent Jonathan Karl, Trump said that the two men didn't do enough to keep Republicans in control of the White House, despite the former president's clear election loss.

"If McConnell and McCarthy fought harder, okay, you could have a Republican president right now, and now they don't have anything," Trump said during the conversation in an audio clip from March 2021 released in advance of Karl's forthcoming book, "Betrayal: The Final Act of the Trump Show.""
