It's not, but Trump is convinced he can get away with it. We as a nation need to prove him wrong in November and show the world that we're still halfway rational!
Add the food pyramid to the list of excuses. MAGA rioter blames food pyramid. Pot-smoking MAGA rioter blames ‘food pyramid’ for radicalizing him as he seeks to avoid jail time excerpt: "A Capitol rioter is blaming the "food pyramid" — as well as former president Donald Trump and his attorneys — for his role in the insurrection as he seeks to avoid jail time. An attorney for James Bonet filed a sentencing memo Wednesday arguing that he has turned his life around since Jan. 6, when he smoked marijuana inside the Capitol. "Since his arrest, he has become disciplined through his commitment to jujutsu, higher education, his job, and his family," federal public defender Lisa A. Peebles wrote in the memo. "James no longer uses marijuana. With this wakeup call, he quickly realized he’s healthier, sharper, and more focused since he’s set meaningful goals and stopped smoking pot." According to the Times Union, a federal judge actually ordered Bonet, then 29, to abstain from marijuana following his arrest in January. In any case, Bonet reportedly is studying at Adirondack Community College in New York — after the Capitol riot "sparked a keen interest in James to understand our political system" — and plans to apply to law school, according to the memo. Bonet lost 150 pounds during the pandemic in 2020, which prompted him to "examine mainstream claims, like the promotion of the food pyramid," the memo states."
All these wonderful accomplishments in less than a year…smh…. He can continue to seek self improvement….behind bars!!!
Trump's clone, DeSantis, sets another record after breaking one last week. https://www.miamiherald.com/news/coronavirus/article256917562.html excerpt: "Florida reported 46,923 COVID-19 cases and no new deaths Tuesday, according to Wednesday’s report to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, based on Miami Herald calculations of CDC data. This is the largest single-day case increase of newly reported cases since the pandemic began. Florida’s seven-day case average has seen consecutive increases since Dec. 10. On that day, the seven-day average was 1,700. It grew to 30,356 on Tuesday, the highest ever, according to Herald calculations. In the past seven days, the state has added 18 deaths on average. The Florida Department of Health will most likely add deaths to Tuesday’s total. The state has done this in the past when it has added cases and deaths to previous days during the pandemic."
The current COVID death toll in the U.S. is 844,079. At the current rate, it will be near 900,000 before the end of February and possibly 1,000,000 by early summer.
Two men from Ohio arrested for their involvement in the riot at the Capitol. Two Southwest Ohio men arrested for alleged role in Jan. 6 Capitol riot excerpt: "WILMINGTON, Ohio (WKRC) — Two Ohio men are among the latest to be charged in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. Luke Faulkner of Wilmington and Jarod Kastner of Beavercreek are facing federal charges of entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds and violent entry, disorderly conduct in a Capitol Building, and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol Building. The charges are misdemeanors, according to court papers. They are accused of entering the Capitol through the Senate Wing Door at 2:17 p.m. They then moved through the "Crypt" of the Capitol. Other "open source" videos were used by investigators to place the men in the Capitol, federal documents allege. Cellphone accounts also placed them inside the Capitol, according to investigators. A third person believed to be with them has not been identified. Faulkner was arrested on Dec. 8. Both men pleaded not guilty in court on Dec. 22. They were allowed to get out of jail without posting bond."
