Trump rioter with Auschwitz shirt pleads guilty.

    https://www.usnews.com/news/politic...-wore-camp-auschwitz-sweatshirt-pleads-guilty

    excerpt:

"A Virginia man who wore a “Camp Auschwitz” sweatshirt at the U.S. Capitol during last year's riot pleaded guilty on Wednesday to joining the mob of people who stormed the building.

Photographs of Robert Keith Packer wearing the sweatshirt with the anti-Semitic message went viral after the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection."

The words “Camp Auschwitz” were above an image of a human skull. Packer's sweatshirt also bore the phrase “Work Brings Freedom," a rough translation of the German words above the entrance gate to Auschwitz, the concentration camp in Poland where Nazis killed more than 1 million men, women and children.

Packer, 57, of Newport News, Virginia, pleaded guilty to parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building, a misdemeanor that carries a maximum sentence of six months imprisonment. U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols is scheduled to sentence him on April 7.

Packer was seen with another rioter named Sullivan who was holding up a piece of the fractured Pelosi sign. Sullivan pleaded guilty in January 2022.

Well, until the courts spank someone for these stupid lawsuits, they're just going to keep filing them to keep the lie alive.

Packer was with a group of people in the area of Pelosi's office around 2 pm and later near the door to the Speaker's Lobby that the rioters were trying to breach.

Packer is seen walking toward Ashli Babbitt just after she was shot to see what happened.

The Youtube user known as Jayden X who took video at the door to the Speaker's Lobby said that a fierce fist fight ensued outside the Capitol between police and rioters after they were moved away from the area where Babbitt was shot.

Iowa man arrested in connection to Capitol riot after family member notifies FBI.

An Iowa man was arrested on Capitol riot charges after a family member contacted the FBI

    excerpt:

"An Iowa man with ties to the QAnon conspiracy movement was arrested earlier this month in connection to the January 6 Capitol attack after one of his family members contacted the FBI.

Kenneth Rader faces four charges stemming from his role in the insurrection, including entering a restricted building, parading in a Capitol building, and disorderly conduct. Rader was arrested on January 11 and had his first court appearance last week in Sioux City, according to the Des Moines Register. He's due back in court on Thursday.

Prosecutors say one of Rader's family members contacted the FBI two days after the siege and alerted investigators to Rader's presence at the attack. The unnamed tipster told the agency that their "radicalized" family member, Rader, shared videos of himself on Capitol grounds and made multiple verbal threats against then-Vice President Mike Pence, stating, "we're not done!" and "watch what we do after Trump is gone," according to charging documents."

Judge casts doubt on January 6 defense strategy of calling Trump to the stand - CNNPolitics

    excerpt:

"Many of the defendants facing criminal charges for their role in the January 6 insurrection have tried to share blame with Trump or shift blame to him. While some federal judges have lambasted the former President, often not by name, and suggested he bears some responsibility for what happened that day, they also have said the defendants should be held responsible for their own actions.

Yet now, judges must confront the possibility that defendants may try to use Trump's gravity -- and strong political condemnation of him in the nation's capital -- before juries.

Federal trials against alleged January 6 rioters are scheduled to begin at the end of next month.
Thompson's attorney, Samuel Shamansky, previously asked Walton if the US Marshals Service could be used to deliver subpoenas to Trump and several others, including Rudy Giuliani, Steve Bannon and Sidney Powell. That opened up the conversation on Wednesday about Trump and his associates.

Shamansky said he doesn't dispute what Thompson did that day but argued that "the question is how and why he gets there." He said that rioters were "whipped up into a frenzy" by Trump and his allies.

In another case headed to trial, the Justice Department has argued to block the possible defense that Trump gave permission for the attack on the Capitol.

The judge in the case -- for riot defendant Aaron Mostofsky -- has not yet resolved whether it will be allowed."

Letitia James files motion to dismiss Trump attempt to block New York probe

    excerpt:

"“In the three years that we have been conducting this investigation, the Trump Organization and its principles have never challenged the legality of the investigation, until now, when Mr Trump himself was subpoenaed to testify,” she said.

Her office has accused the Trump family and New York-based Trump Organization of “fraudulent or misleading” practices, including repeatedly misrepresenting the value of assets, “to obtain a host of economic benefits, including loans, insurance coverage, and tax deductions.”

No charges have yet been filed, but her latest filings on 18 January mark the most detailed account yet following long-running allegations involving the Trump Organization and his family."

Trump rioter sentenced to 44 months for assaulting police officer.

US Capitol rioter gets 44 months in prison for assaulting officer

    excerpt:

"A judge in the United States has imposed a 44-month prison sentence on a man who pleaded guilty to a felony charge after throwing objects at police during last year’s January 6 attack on the US Capitol and boasting about his actions on social media.

The defendant, Nicholas Languerand, has been jailed since his arrest in April 2021 in the US state of South Carolina and will receive credit for time served.

Prosecutors had recommended a 51-month sentence, but US District Judge John Bates in Washington said on Wednesday that a “modest reduction” was warranted in light of Languerand’s personal circumstances, including what the judge described as an “extremely difficult and chaotic upbringing”.

When Languerand was a child, his father intentionally set fire to a trailer that he and his mother were living in, nearly killing them, Languerand’s grandfather told the judge during the sentencing hearing."

Ex-Army private sentenced to 44 months for assault at Capitol | wusa9.com

    excerpt:

"Languerand’s grandparents told Bates their plan was to pick him up after the rally in D.C. on January 6 and bring him home to South Carolina where, they hoped, they could get him back on the right path. Instead, when Languerand arrived, he told them the FBI might come looking for him.

Agents eventually did visit in April. In Languerand’s room they found a stockpile of weapons and notes on his cellphone, including one reading, “Dear FBI, if you play nice, so will I. If you shoot my dog, we all will die.”

Investigators also searched the trailer in Vermont where Languerand had been staying. There they found a makeshift target with the rough outline of a human riddled with bullet holes and a notebook with a “target list.”"

44mos is not nearly enough time. These miserable people just don't get better. It's times like these that lobotomies might not have been bad.

The election commission in Wisconsin hasn't made any decision about the fake presidential electors issue in over a year.

One of the election commission members is Bob Spindell who was one of the ten GOP fake presidential electors.

Will false Trump electors' attempt to hijack the Wisconsin vote be punished? - Wisconsin Examiner

    excerpt:

"In Wisconsin, the 10 signatories were Elections Commissioner Bob Spindell, then Republican Party of Wisconsin chair Andrew Hitt, Carol Brunner, Edward Scott Grabins, Bill Feehan, Robert F. Spindell, Jr., Kathy Kiernan, Darryl Carlson, Pam Travis, Kelly Ruh, Andrew Hitt and Mary Buestrin. Kiernan replaced Tom Schreibel, according to the documents.

Pettig says the “phony electors” need to be viewed as one part of a broader attempt to subvert or overturn elections. Other efforts he cites include bogus “audits” and partisan investigations — such as the one being conducted by Assembly Speaker Robin Vos overseen by attorney Michael Gableman — as well as planting broad distrust in election results, as many Wisconsin Republican legislators have done.

“I think what we are seeing here on multiple levels, on multiple fronts is a broad effort by the former president and his allies to overturn the election by whatever means possible,” Pettig concludes."

Spindell signed the fake president electors document in December 2020.

He's on the WI election commission that is responsible for investigating the fake electors.
