(WXYZ) — A Linden man has become the 15th person arrested from Michigan in connection to riots at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

Matthew Krol, 63, was arrested Tuesday and is facing several charges. Prosecutors allege he took a baton from a police officer at the Capitol and assaulted the officer with it.

According to the complaint, an anonymous tipster contacted the FBI saying they knew Krol after seeing a photo of him on social media. The tipster also said Krol had been at the protests at the Michigan Capitol.

Photos included in the complaint allegedly show Krol spinning the officer around several times, "pulling them into the crowd and eventually wrest[l]ing the baton from Officer D.P.’s hand. Krol then turns to the crowd, holding up the baton as if in celebration."

"TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – A chef and a poker player from the Tampa Bay area have been arrested in connection to last year’s Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

The latest FBI indictments reveal 57-year-old John Heneghan and 67-year-old Carol Kicinski are accused of trying to force their way into the U.S. Capitol with a mob that injured several members of the Capitol police.

FBI documents on their charges show pictures of the two taking part in the mob entering the Capitol building just before 2:20 p.m. Photos also show them making their way into the Capitol Rotunda.

Heneghan is a poker player. Kicinski is a chef. Records show they share a waterfront home in Dunedin. No one answered the door at the home when 8 On Your Side stopped by Wednesday night.

Both Heneghan and Kicinski were booked into the Pinellas County Jail on Federal Marshal status.

Florida leads the nation in the number of those charged for participating in the deadly riot that temporarily stopped the counting of the electoral vote and led to the second impeachment of former President Donald Trump."

Florida leads nation with more than 50 Capitol Riot arrests | WFLA

"Twelve of the 52 Capitol Riot defendants in Florida are from counties in the greater Tampa Bay area, according to the Program on Extremism at George Washington University that is tracking more than 500 cases nationwide."

 

A music teacher from north of Tampa was arrested. She said it was going to be fun to storm the Capitol.

Southard is a music teacher from Spring Hill. Newly released documents from the Department of Justice, claim that agents found multiple photos from Southard on social media placing her at the capitol on Jan. 6.

It references Facebook and Twitter posts that included photos of her standing outside the Capitol.

“Standing in front of the Capitol ready to take it,” read one tweet. “As soon as we get enough people up here. To run the Capitol building. It’s going to be fun.”"

Trump has not only been praising Putin, but he also made the completely laughable statement that the invasion would never have happened if he was President.

Need I remind anyone that it was Trump who shot down over $40 million dollars in aid that we were going to send to the Ukraine?

 

For his own personal interest, Trump had withheld $391 million in aid to Ukraine that was intended to help it defend itself against Putin's aggression.

Three House committees started an investigation about the delay by Trump on September 9, 2019.

Under pressure, two days later on September 11, 2019 Trump released the money to Ukraine.

The withholding of money to Ukraine caused his Trump's first impeachment.

Trump claimed he withheld the money to make sure there wasn't corruption in Ukraine.

When a journalist asked Trump to describe what types of corruption in Ukraine (outside of allegations about Biden), Trump couldn't produce an answer. He said his people would have to look into it.

 

At Trump's impeachment hearing, his defense attorney Dershowitz made a hapless statement that Trump's coercion of the leader of Ukraine to dig up dirt on Biden was in the national interest because it was helping his chance of reelection, which was in the national interest.

After the National Archives spent 8 months wrangling with Trump to return stolen property, it said it would be asking Congress and the DOJ for assistance.

Trump finally turned over the 15 boxes of documents and claimed it was all done in amicably (after 8 months of wrangling over an issue that should have been settled quickly or shouldn't have happened at all).
