Trump said that Barr was the attorney general that he had always wanted.

Considering the comments made by Barr in the book he is releasing, Trump might want to reconsider.

Meadows and McCarthy are the few hardcore loyalists who are still adhering to Trump.

That's remarkable for McCarthy who called Trump to call off his riot while his office windows at the Capitol were being smashed by Trump's rioters.

Trump snubbed him during his moment of life-threatening need by reportedly telling McCarthy that he didn't care as much about the election as his rioters.

Trump's loyalists could tell him that they would give their lives for him, and Trump would respond by saying that it wouldn't be good enough.

Trump is probably trying to come up with a way to spin Barr's resignation into "I had to fire him... People were saying things... (in my head)"

Barr has gone fringe compared to his mindset decades ago, and even he can't satisfy Trump.

Barr knew enough to resign a few weeks before Trump's insurrection.

It gives the impression that he knew at least some of the details of it being planned by Trump and his cohorts.

Republicans Ask SCOTUS for Emergency Injunction Ordering At-Large Elections if Need Be and Blocking Pennsylvania's New Congressional Maps

    excerpt:

"Republicans suing over Pennsylvania’s new congressional map on Monday asked the Supreme Court to intervene with an emergency injunction that would bar the new map from taking effect. The request also asks the high court to consider forcing the Keystone State to hold their 2022 congressional elections at-large.

After a lengthy process and lawsuits brought in state courts, the previous map established by Pennsylvania’s GOP-controlled state legislature following the 2020 census was rejected by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. The legislature’s plan left the commonwealth with nine district favoring Democrats and eight districts that favor Republicans.

In rejecting that plan, the state’s supreme court endorsed a map developed by a political science professor who was retained by the Democratic Party election lawyer Marc Elias. The new map resulted in a 10-7 split of congressional seats favoring Democrats."

Republicans Ask SCOTUS for Emergency Injunction Ordering At-Large Elections if Need Be and Blocking Pennsylvania's New Congressional Maps

    excerpt:

"On Feb. 25, 2022, a district court declined to issue those temporary restraining orders–even as the plaintiffs said they would “seek emergency relief from Justice Alito” if the federal court did not invalidate the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Monday’s request to Justice Samuel Alito makes good on that threat.

“The applicants respectfully ask this Court to immediately enjoin the respondents from implementing the court-selected congressional map or departing from the General Primary Calendar enacted by the legislature,” the request says. “Relief is urgently needed because candidates are already campaigning for office under this unconstitutional map, and the statutory deadline for obtaining the needed signatures on nomination petitions in March 8, 2022.”"

Apparently Barr told trump he was resigning. Trump told him that he was fired, but WH lawyers told trump that was a bad idea. A few days later Barr resigned.

Putin may have underestimated how much the world would be against him for invading Ukraine.

Putin had Trump as his cheerleader for four years telling him what he wanted to hear, such as bashing NATO and the EU.

Putin also had the backdrop of the Olympics in friendly China that he formally attended, which is why he waited until just after the Olympics had ended to invade Ukraine.

Some of the countries whose leaders formally attended the Olympics in China are favorable to Putin and aren't known as shining examples of democratically run governments,

Winter Olympics: Which world leaders are attending Beijing 2022?

    excerpt:

    "Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan:
The leaders of all five former Soviet republics in Central Asia are heading to Beijing, highlighting the region’s increasingly close ties with China.

Kyrgyzstan’s President Sadyr Japarov pushed last month for the revival of a long-delayed project to build a railway from China through his country to Uzbekistan. China is Turkmenistan’s only reliable key buyer of natural gas.

Argentina and Ecuador: Argentina is set to become the first major Latin American country to join China’s Belt and Road Initiative. In Beijing, President Alberto Fernandez is also expected to discuss China’s help building Argentina’s first nuclear power plant since 1981."

    excerpt:

    "Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE:
China is Saudi Arabia’s largest buyer of oil and a significant customer of Qatar’s natural gas.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the kingdom’s de facto leader, is appearing at the Winter Games as investors and some governments signal warming relations after the 2018 killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi."

Naturally after getting his hand caught in the cookie jar, Marco Rubio has been speaking out about the dangers of Vladimir Putin

GOP campaigns took $7.35 million from oligarch linked to Russia

    excerpt:

"Donald Trump and the political action committees for Mitch McConnell, Marco Rubio, Scott Walker, Lindsey Graham, John Kasich and John McCain accepted $7.35 million in contributions from a Ukrainian-born oligarch who is the business partner of two of Russian president Vladimir Putin's favorite oligarchs and a Russian government bank.

During the 2015-2016 election season, Ukrainian-born billionaire Leonard "Len" Blavatnik contributed $6.35 million to leading Republican candidates and incumbent senators. Mitch McConnell was the top recipient of Blavatnik's donations, collecting $2.5 million for his GOP Senate Leadership Fund under the names of two of Blavatnik's holding companies, Access Industries and AI Altep Holdings, according to Federal Election Commission documents and OpenSecrets.org.

Marco Rubio's Conservative Solutions PAC and his Florida First Project received $1.5 million through Blavatnik's two holding companies. Other high dollar recipients of funding from Blavatnik were PACS representing Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker at $1.1 million, South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham at $800,000, Ohio Governor John Kasich at $250,000 and Arizona Senator John McCain at $200,000.

In January, Quartz reported that Blavatnik donated another $1 million to Trump's Inaugural Committee. Ironically, the shared address of Blavatnik's companies is directly across the street from Trump Tower on 5th Avenue in New York.

Len Blavatnik, considered to be one of the richest men in Great Britain, holds dual citizenship in the U.S. and the U.K. He is known for his business savvy and generous philanthropy, but not without controversy."

Sen. Rubio details Putin’s endgame as Russia’s war on Ukraine continues

    excerpt:

“He views the 90s as a decade of humiliation for Russia,” Rubio said. “He believes himself to be the leader that will restore Russia as a great power.”

That means taking Ukraine by force, gaining access to its ports and vast fields of natural gas resources.

Not a political move, but one of attempting to reassert Russia’s influence on the national stage.

“Not sure he wants to return to the communist era from an economic standpoint because then you don’t have oligarchs and great wealth accumulation,” Rubio said. “But he wants Russia to be a great global power, and he believes great global powers have spheres of influence and satellite states. And that’s what he intends to do, and Ukraine is a key component of it.”

Fiona Hill says Putin tried to tell Trump that in a conflict 'the nuclear option would be on the table' but she didn't think the former president understood the warning

    excerpt:

"On Sunday, Putin ordered Russia's nuclear deterrent forces to be put on high alert, meaning the weapons have been ordered to be prepared for an increased possibility of launch, Insider's Connor Perrett reported.

Hill told Reynolds that the decision was Putin "making it very clear that nuclear is on the table."

Additionally, Hill said in one of the final meetings between Trump and Putin – where she was present – Putin tried to warn Trump about this very possibility but she didn't "think Trump figured out what he was saying.""
