Idlewild, as I understand it, they've always trained on Russian fighters, so there'd be no learning curve. But as to under-wing munitions for them,....?

I've heard a taped conversation between Churchill and Roosevelt, begging for aircraft. Roosevelt, like today, was bound by treaties, and couldn't. But he said, 'We could take some to the Canadian border, and some of your people could come over and drag them across, then ship them to you.'

    History seems to repeat itself.

Ohh others wish I was idle I love swift and fast …..understood those on foot fighting the battles are only trained to do assignment at hand without given any details or politics of what is discussed of those higher in the ranks behind closed doors …most definitely those in the field should act with caution knowing what learning curve they are dealing with which is very sharp on combat

haha just noticed I wrote love instead of move …which should of read ‘move’…ahhh maybe a three minute man on the field

That's pretty funny but it makes sense. USA is in a really tight spot because Putin is like a cornered animal looking for an excuse to escalate matters. He's already sobbing in his panties about how sanctions are 'acts of war' giving him free rein to retaliate. The only thing holding him back is knowing that the world hasn't overtly teamed up against him in a military sense, so he can theoretically save face.

So for now world leaders have to treat him like a crying babytrump who's unhinged & unpredictable, but still buckled into his babychair. I wouldn't be surprised if USA & other European nations aren't already sneaking aircraft & weapons to Ukraine under the table... Not necessarily because they're afraid of treaty violations or general involvement, but just to keep Putin from throwing the ultimate tantrum with his nukes.

Those photos aren't even the worst of it. Via other sources I've seen battlefield footage of actual dead Rus soldiers and their mutilated corpses, torn apart by explosives, and in one case an elderly Ukrainian couple, who had been literally executed inside their own car, which was completely bullet-ridden from all sides. My guess is completely unprovoked. And another video, where a Russian tank drives over a Ukrainian civilian car, the driver only surviving trough extreme luck. In just a week and a half, Vladimir Putin made himself the worst war criminal of the 21st century.

Vladimir Putin has imperialist aspirations and obvious delusions of grandeur. If he's not stopped at Ukraine, he WILL try to make MORE of his illegal land grabs. Guns are the only thing that work now, the past 2 weeks have shown that he won't respond to reason or flowers. I'm sorry, but that's the reality of this situation. Any country that Putin's Russia absorbs WILL face a life of slavery and bondage. This is Josif Stalin all over again. Why ask the Ukrainians to accept something so unreasonable?

Not sure that's at all comparable to this situation, but I'm not gonna chase that rabbit.

"...This is Josef Stalin all over again..."

And, just 180 degrees flipped, was Adolph in 1939-40.

To quote the late Leonard Cohen in the song "Anthem"

"The wars, they will be fought again.
The holy dove, she will be cut again,
bought and sold and bought again.
    The dove is never free."

"Ring the bells that still can ring,..."

" They've summoned up, summoned up a thundercloud."

    Entirely too appropriate.

Wrong. That's Putin and nobody else. Up until 2 weeks ago he had every opportunity to stop this nonsense and order his troops to go back and not advance. He never did this, but instead, gave the order to attack. Nobody else but him. The west had no part in this. Just Putin. And right now there's this little thing called "trying to prevent a nuclear war" happening. Unfortunately the russian madlad has access to nukes, and the west is trying its darndest to not trigger him to launch.

The best action from you in this nonsense hypothetical scenario would be to keep your pants snake in check and not seduce other guy's wives. In this fictional scenario you would share partial blame in anything that would happen to the wife, since you helped to enable her cheating. But this is off-topic.

Putin doesn’t care. He is trying to make a point. Whatever that is.

That's the biggest problem I see is where they can collect them . To take fighter planes from Polish soil ,the Russians will see that as an act of war as it is no different than a country sheltering arms of another country .

The only way I can think of is literally constructing a temporary run way just over the border and the aircraft themselves all 23 of them being towed by tractor . Other problems puzzle me as to where the Ukraine's intend refuelling and maintaining them or even basing them .
The Poles already have some F16s ,so for them to get these as replacements is common sense .

A Polish MIG 29 - One of the 23 that could be going to the Ukraine

A Polish F16c . Likely to be joined by further examples

All hot air and bluff to me .

Part of the old Soviet Doctrine and now the Russian doctrine was to use chemical weapons in conflict . With these at his disposal ,he still thankfully not resorted to their use as he knows he will get severe reprisals if he does. The same with nuclear ,even tactical nuclear weapon use . All bluff to keep the West out of it .

Several mega-accounting firms exit Russia. I can't help but get a little curious about the career opportunities. :(
