Trumpism has reached the Supreme Court with text messages from Ginny Thomas to Mark Meadows. Now Clarence Thomas will be tainted in any case pertaining to The January 6th investigation. He will also be unable to rule on cases of redistricting, election fraud, and illegal money for campaigns. The list will be long for Thomas. The sad thing is now the integrity of our highest court. Trumpism has already ruined the integrity of our presidency, our elections, and our criminal justice system. Trump's only significant achievement will be that he demonstrated to his followers that a man can commit crimes, and if rich enough, can delay the implementation of justice with help from his friends and appointees.
Favorable public opinion of the SCOTUS is at the lowest it has ever been. Abortion rights are favored by over fifty percent of ‘muricans, as is same sex marriage. Rulings against these issues wii further reduce respect for the court.
Article from September 2021. Approval of U.S. Supreme Court Down to 40%, a New Low excerpt: "WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Americans' opinions of the U.S. Supreme Court have worsened, with 40%, down from 49% in July, saying they approve of the job the high court is doing. This represents, by two percentage points, a new low in Gallup's trend, which dates back to 2000. The poll was conducted shortly after the Supreme Court declined to block a controversial Texas abortion law. In August, the court similarly allowed college vaccine mandates to proceed and rejected a Biden administration attempt to extend a federal moratorium on evictions during the pandemic."
Approval of U.S. Supreme Court Down to 40%, a New Low excerpt: "More See Court as Being Too Conservative The plurality of Americans have consistently viewed the court as being "about right" ideologically, and that continues today, with 40% describing it that way. However, perhaps reflecting changes in the composition of the court or its recent decisions, a new high of 37%, up from 32% a year ago, consider the current Supreme Court "too conservative." The previous highs in perceptions that the high court was too conservative were 33% in 2019 and 32% in 2007 and 2020, all under Republican presidents. Meanwhile, 20% describe the court as "too liberal." That is similar to the 23% rating it this way a year ago, but lower than the high points of 32% and 37% recorded when Obama was president. Throughout Obama's two terms, during which two of his nominees were confirmed, more Americans perceived the court as being too liberal than being too conservative. The opposite pattern occurred during the Trump administration."
Questions abound as Trump raises – and hoards – huge sums of 2024 cash excerpt: "Donald Trump’s ferocious money-raising machine, powered in equal measure by grassroots giving and large individual and corporate donations, has never really stopped turning – and it is currently raising huge sums of cash. As of this month, Trump has $108,046,100 saved in his Save America political fund, more than the Republican and Democratic national committees combined, and 12 times as much as the fund – Pac for the Future – for the Democratic House speaker, Nancy Pelosi. And all of that has been raised while Trump’s own ambitions remain unclear. Though his grip on the Republican party remains tight – and he has waged an endorsement war against his opponents – the big question over whether Trump will run again for the White House remains unanswered. Without any declared candidacy, his war chest’s purpose and thus also that of its master, is unclear – and deliberately so. Trump cannot easily spend the money on himself should he decide to run in 2024. Save America is registered as a leadership pac, or political action committee, not a campaign tool for himself. Yet Trump is not yet spending much, according to its “leadership” purpose of supporting Republican candidates going into this year’s hotly contested midterm elections."
Trump’s Republican revenge tour falters in Georgia excerpt: "“Brian Kemp is a turncoat, is a coward, and is a complete and total disaster," Trump said. "If Brian Kemp is renominated, he will go down in flames at the ballot box because Stacey [Abrams] will steal it from him and humiliate him, just like she brazenly stole the Georgia election from right under his nose in 2020, which hurt two senators and which hurt the presidential candidate." Three separate counts of the election, including a full hand count risk-limiting audit, confirmed that President Joe Biden narrowly defeated Trump more than 500 days ago, but Georgia is a state that he has remained obsessed with seeking revenge on those who wronged him. If Trump succeeds in unseating Kemp and other incumbents, his role as kingmaker and avatar for the GOP's newer "America-first" direction could be further cemented ahead of a likely presidential run in 2024. If Kemp and other Republicans hold off Trump's challenge and retain power in November, then a pathway to a post-Trump Republican agenda could become more clear."
Stacey Abrams simply out-campaigned the GOP in GA in 2020. Trump is still upset with her and leveling criminal accusations at her. Trump spent his time discouraging people from voting in the special election and runoff election for the two U.S. Senate seats in Georgia that the GOP ended up losing in 2021 (the day before Trump's riot at the Capitol).
Trump has endorsed Perdue for governor of GA in the 2022 race. Perdue isn't doing well against the incumbent Kemp. Perdue lost one of the two Senate seats in GA in January 2021. Perdue has jumped on Trump's election truther bandwagon to the extreme, claiming that his loss in the 2021 Senate election in GA was because the election was rigged.
Seeking revenge on those who he perceives wronged him, but didn't. Kemp, Duncan, and Raffensperger abided by the law in the face of Trump's pressure campaign on them.

'Very aggressive': Trump suggests Montenegro could cause world war three excerpt: "“Why should my son go to Montenegro to defend it from attack?” Fox host Tucker Carlson asked. Trump responded: “I understand what you’re saying. I’ve asked the same question.” “Montenegro is a tiny country with very strong people ... They’re very aggressive people. They may get aggressive, and congratulations, you’re in world war three,” the US president added. Montenegro, a former Yugoslav republic with a population of about 630,000, joined Nato last year, becoming is 29th member, a move that enraged Moscow. Its military numbers about 2,000 personnel."
The Making of Vladimir Putin excerpt: "PARIS — Speaking in what he called “the language of Goethe, Schiller and Kant,” picked up during his time as a KGB officer in Dresden, Germany, President Vladimir Putin of Russia addressed the German Parliament on Sept. 25, 2001. “Russia is a friendly European nation,” he declared. “Stable peace on the continent is a paramount goal for our nation.” The Russian leader, elected the previous year at the age of 47 after a meteoric rise from obscurity, went on to describe “democratic rights and freedoms” as the “key goal of Russia’s domestic policy.” Members of the Bundestag gave a standing ovation."
Trump is still praising Putin and other autocrats. ‘Smartest one gets to the top’: Trump again praises Putin at Georgia rally Ex-president also had warm words for Xi Jinping and Kim Jong-un at event as primary races heat up before midterms elections Edward Helmore Sun 27 Mar 2022 10.55 EDT ‘Smartest one gets to the top’: Trump again praises Putin at Georgia rally excerpt: "Donald Trump chose a rally in Georgia on Saturday night once again to praise Vladimir Putin, calling the Russian president “smart” even as he said the invasion of Ukraine amounted to a “big mistake”. The Republican former president also had warm words for China’s president Xi Jinping and North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un and referred to such leaders collectively by saying: “The smartest one gets to the top.” He spoke admiringly of Xi in terms of the fact that he “runs 1.5 billion people with an iron fist” and referred to Kim as “tough”. Then of Putin, Trump told the crowd: “They asked me if Putin is smart. Yes, Putin was smart.” He also praised Russia’s strategy of a huge accumulation of military force on its border with Ukraine prior to invading, even if the war is not going well for the aggressor. “That’s a hell of a way to negotiate, put 200,000 troops on the border…That was a big mistake, but it looked like a great negotiation. That didn’t work out too well for him,” Trump said."
I think the antics of Graham, Cotton, Hawley, and the senator from Cancun, Rafael Cruz, backfired. Ketanji Brown Jackson is the most popular Supreme Court nominee in years - CNNPolitics
They were just firing up the base and getting sound bites for the mid-terms... Had nothing to do with the supreme court nominee.
