Speaking of the border wall, btw notice how there's always an illegal money making angle with anyone associated with Trump. Leader of campaign to fund Trump border wall to plead guilty to conspiracy, tax charges A decorated U.S. Air Force veteran accused of defrauding donors in a fundraising campaign to help former President Donald Trump build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border has agreed to plead guilty to wire fraud conspiracy and three tax charges. The U.S. Department of Justice revealed their plea agreement with Brian Kolfage, who led the "We Build the Wall" campaign, in a filing on Wednesday with the U.S. District Court in Manhattan. Kolfage is expected to formally enter his plea on April 21 before U.S. District Judge Analisa Torres. His lawyer did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The government had in August 2020 charged Kolfage, former Trump adviser Steve Bannon and two other defendants over We Build the Wall.

Chief Justice John Roberts joins with liberals to criticize 'shadow docket' as court reinstates Trump-era EPA rule - CNNPolitics excerpt: "The five conservative justices did not explain their reasoning for reinstating the Trump-era rule. The emergency docket – referred to by some justices and outside observers as the “shadow docket” – has increasingly come under criticism by those who say that important issues are being resolved without the benefit of full briefing schedule and oral arguments. While the court’s liberals, especially Kagan, have often criticized the use of emergency petitions, this is the first time Roberts has explicitly joined."
https://thehill.com/policy/equilibr...ump-clean-water-act-rollback-in-5-4-decision/ excerpt: "The Supreme Court on Wednesday halted a prior court ruling that struck down a Trump-era rule limiting state and tribal authority to veto projects that could impact their waters, including pipelines. The Trump rule in question, which was nixed by a federal court in October, limited states’ authority to block projects by giving them a strict one-year time limit to do so. If it did not meet this time limit, the government could determine that it had waived its veto power. The rule also limited the scope to only those that will impact water quality. It excluded other considerations, such as air quality or “energy policy.” The high court on Wednesday halted that vacatur, reinstating the rule for the time being, in a 5-4 decision. Chief Justice John Roberts joined the court’s three liberal justices in dissenting. A dissent, penned by Justice Elena Kagan, argued that the states and industry groups who had asked the court for the pause didn’t prove that not doing so would cause “irreparable harm” and therefore did not qualify for a stay."
That dog's laugh is needed every time Trump and his ilk lose another court case related to their stolen election allegations, which is over 60 Trump losses to date.
Gaetz, of the supposed law-and-order GOP, is upset that Ukraine didn't fall to Putin in 30 days, as some thought it might, and blames Ukraine's resilience and Putin's failures on woke culture at the Pentagon. Matt Gaetz Narrowly Avoids Being Called a “Smug Little Shit” in Official Congressional Record excerpt: "You might have thought that after that experience, Gaetz—a member of the party that talks a big game about its respect for “law and order”—would subsequently avoid churlishly attacking military leaders in general, let alone repeat that the armed forces have been infected by “woke” ideology. But you‘d have thought wrong! On Tuesday, the conservative lawmaker used a House Armed Services Committee hearing about the Defense Department’s 2023 budget to berate Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin over the military’s supposed failures, which he pinned on the Pentagon’s alleged embrace of “wokeness.”"
To Gaetz, a U.S. military failure, in his mind caused by woke culture at the Pentagon, is what he says is the Pentagon not predicting that Ukraine would survive an invasion by Putin for more than 30 days.
Gaetz is clueless about what the military does and its capabilities. He better stop trying to challenge these meat-eating warfighters.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/02/27/conservatives-cpac-ukraine/ excerpt: "ORLANDO — They cheered for Canadian truckers and parents who’d stood up to suburban school boards. They flew Trump 2024 flags and pinned “Trump was right” buttons on their lapels. "And as the images from Ukraine rolled across their screens, those attending the Conservative Political Action Conference celebrated their newest, unexpected heroes: The people fighting back against Russia, a country some of those in attendance had been defending as a proudly un-“woke” nation run by a tough, smart patriot. “Amazing things are happening in Ukraine today,” Glenn Beck told the audience at CPAC’s Ronald Reagan dinner on Friday. Those at the nation’s largest conservative conference frequently linked the Ukrainian fight for national sovereignty to their own battles against liberalism and coronavirus restrictions. “God bless the Ukrainian people! May they make those Russian invaders bleed and die!” radio host and former Trump adviser Sebastian Gorka told attendees Saturday. “So, what does this have to do with that diminutive little fascist, [Anthony S.] Fauci?” His answer: Americans should have told government officials to “go to hell” when they announced covid-19 restrictions in 2020.""
Now that some of Trump's supporters have done an about-face on Ukraine after some of them earlier referring to Zelensky as a thug and sided with Putin, they can petition the van Zant brothers to write and record a new tune 'Sweet Ukraine' that praises Zelensky, like they did with 'Sweet Florida' for DeSantis.
The national sovereignty of Ukraine that Trump was thrilled could be taken away from them by Putin placing 200,000 troops on their border so he could obtain a good deal for himself.
Trump talks like such a coercion that could have taken away Ukraine sovereignty would have been good overall and great for Putin if he could have somehow pulled it off without actually invading Ukraine, an invasion whose occurrence he blames on Biden supposedly not earning the respect of Putin.
Sounds like you have never applied for government help. It is very hard to get. Mexicans and Central Americans don't get it that easy. When you apply, you have to present documents. If your documentation tells the government clerk that you are here illegally, you don't get squat. If you got political asylum from the feds, then you must have had a real political reason to come to America. We'd hear about it on the news, because only a few people get that once in a while. I seem to remember the son of the Shah of Iran got that, and he did not live off welfare.
