What is surf skating?

 

Surf skating is "surfing" on land (i.e. city streets) using a special type of skateboard specifically designed to enable the rider to replicate surfing maneuvers. Some surfers like to use them to practice their surfing techniques on days when the surf is flat. For land-locked folks like me, surf skating provides a means for the closest experience to surfing, as well as great fun and fantastic exercise. All ages can do surf skate and it is easier and safer than regular skateboarding. I love every minute of it!
