Yes - that was my point through my posts -
The Truss campaign is very much modelled on that strategy, Sunak has been show to be somewhat unpleasent - as his interupting on the TV debates showed, his 'wife's' "legally acceptable" use of Tax avoidance and now claims of mis-managing Covid finances seemed to have stirred and odds-on favourite into a Billionaire bully of with disingenuous regard for the people.
The Truss team seem to be advocating a return to passive - but firm and calculated - aggression in order to win the Party vote

 

.. and what's more, - that strategy seems to be winning over the Tory members

 

Things are getting more personal now - with each of the candidates vying for popular / winning pledges

This seems increasingly unlikely now, unless ..... decisive and aggressive reation is emplayed

It may well be that the campain may take a darker turn
