After Trump's insurrection at the Capitol, not much has been said in the U.S. Trump is a domestic, up-close, textbook example of someone who can radicalize people to do violent acts, invoke it directly from the White House, quietly watch the violence, and seemingly escape punishment for it. It's the ultimate implementation of radicalization.

Mo Brooks made an argument similar to that of Graham, saying that his 'kicking ass' speech at the Ellipse on Jan. 6 for Trump for people to revolt against Congress was part of his legislative activities in Congress. The DOJ said it wasn't and refused to defend Brooks for suits against him stemming from his speech.
Somewhere in The Code of Federal Regulations there should be a definition of legislative speech and activities ... one would think?
Trump and his supporters have said that the Jan. 6 committee has no justification for investigating Trump's insurrection at the Capitol because it doesn't involve legislative purpose. Yet Graham and Brooks who where involved in trying to overturn the 2020 election talk like they have immunity from investigation and prosecution because their activities involved legislative purpose.
Trump is now fighting the DOJ over possible espionage charges. Most of the media and political world have finally realized that Trump isn't going to learn his lesson.
