There is a great article on Salon by Conely. It's about the Republican effort to take over enough state legislatures and bring about a Constitutional Convention to rewrite the Constitution. She quotes Russ Feingold. It supports what I have posted on here earlier. I think they want to rewrite the Constitution so it would look like The Constitution of The Confederate States of America, as John C Calhoun envisioned, including state rights, state power to overturn elections, removal of human rights/equal rights of colored people, no affirmative action, no worker rights, no rights for women, and White would be The Color of the Big Boss Man. Hold both constitutions in your hands and compare/contrast the two. I don't think they would bring back slavery; however, if old people would get sick, they would be left to die without government afforded health care. Republicans don't want to pay taxes at all for such government services. Also, take time to have a look at the KKK political platform and that of the Republican Party. They are strikingly similar to what John C Calhoun wanted, and what today's Trump controlled Republican Party wants to bring about with this constitutional ploy.
