Trump's pick for AG of Michigan, DePerno, isn't doing well with fundraising. DePerno is under investigation for being part of a group that tampered with election equipment in MI. Dana Nessel outraising Matthew DePerno in Michigan AG race
'Unhinged, deranged' Trump 'may be a danger' to himself and others: GOP strategist excerpt: "If you read that whole thing out loud, if you were on the street and heard someone muttering that on a street corner, you wouldn't say, 'Hmm, let's hand this person the presidency or the Republican nomination for president,'" he continued. "You'd say call 911 because it sounds like an unhinged, deranged person is on the loose and out on the street and may be a danger to themselves and others." Warming up he added, "It's outrageous, beyond the pale. Every Republican ought to be able to say so. It's not good for the party. It's not good for him."
Scott Lennings and Susan Collins appear to be cognitively challenged. Both seem to be on the verge of realizing for the first time that Trump is dangerous.
That's right! Right here in the apartment building where I live, the avid Trump supporters get subsidized housing, SSI, SNAP, EBT, and MOM's meals. One guy who is big enough to beat the crap out of me, and is only in his 30s, has suddenly started saying he is regressing into childhood ... and tied a pacifier around his neck. He also started carrying a stuffed bear or elephant around ... to show that he is a kid again. The state has granted him a CNA to come and help him shower and change his diaper. Just two or three months ago I saw him carry a cow catcher bumper to install on his 4x4 country boy rig. Another guy is willing to go against the feds but gets free rent and food bank food. Gubment help is A-OK for them, huh?
Trump's farmers were receiving direct government payments (welfare checks) as a way of trying to undo some of the damage caused by the trade wars he started. ‘Here’s your check’: Trump’s massive payouts to farmers will be hard to pull back excerpt: "Direct farm aid has climbed each year of Trump’s presidency, from $11.5 billion in 2017 to more than $32 billion this year — an all-time high, with potentially far more funding still to come in 2020, amounting to about two-thirds of the cost of the entire Department of Housing and Urban Development and more than the Agriculture Department’s $24 billion discretionary budget, according to a POLITICO analysis. But lawmakers have taken a largely hands-off approach, letting the department decide who gets the money and how much."
Trump lied at his recent rally Saturday in Warren, MI that he collected over $420 billion from China because of his trade wars. The U.S. consumers paid for it with higher prices. In addition, the U.S. taxpayers paid for the tens of billions of dollars of welfare checks Trump gave farmers.
Mastriano pledges to ban pole dancing. Trump endorsed Mastriano for governor of PA. Doug Mastriano bizarrely pledged to ban pole dancing from schools if he is elected governor of Pennsylvania
Doug Mastriano bizarrely pledged to ban pole dancing from schools if he is elected governor of Pennsylvania excerpt: "Mastriano, who has been endorsed by former President Donald Trump, has previously voiced controversial views, including that women should be charged with murder for violating abortion bans. He has also been working with a coalition of election-denying Trump loyalists who hope to influence future elections in battleground states, Nevada secretary of state candidate Jim Marchant previously told Insider. He previously said that he prayed Congress would "rise up" on January 6 and "disregard" Pennsylvania's election results."
Pennsylvania governor candidate Doug Mastriano prayed Trump would 'seize the power' ahead of January 6, video shows excerpt: "In a December 2020 meeting with Christian nationalists, State Sen. Doug Mastriano prayed Congress would "rise up" on January 6 and "disregard" Pennsylvania's election results, according to a video published by Rolling Stone on Friday. Mastriano — the Republican candidate for governor in Pennsylvania — participated in a Zoom meeting held by Jim Garlow, a former megachurch pastor associated with the New Apostolic Reformation, a far-right Christian movement. According to Rolling Stone, Garlow believes the Bible should dictate how the US government works, a Christian nationalist principle. During the "Global Prayer for Election Integrity" call, Mastriano led a prayer over the 2020 election results in which he made many biblical and historical references tying together Christianity and the US."

Trump and Putin: two grievance-laden speeches on the same weekend. Putin recasts his Ukraine war as Russia’s struggle against the West excerpt: ""The dictatorship of the Western elites targets all societies," Putin said. "This is a challenge to all. This complete renunciation of what it means to be human, the overthrow of faith and traditional values, and the suppression of freedom are coming to resemble a 'religion in reverse' — pure Satanism." His embittered tirade against the West came at a time of acute turmoil in Russia and deepening desperation for its armed forces. On the battlefield, the Ukrainian army, bolstered by Western aid, recently routed Russian forces in a stinging counteroffensive in the very regions Putin has usurped. Lacking sufficient volunteer and mercenary soldiers, the Kremlin drafted hundreds of thousands of more Russian men into military duty, triggering nationwide protests and leading to a mass exodus into neighboring countries. Russian partners like China and India are edging away from the Kremlin, while fears of his threats to use nuclear force are rising."
Putin recasts his Ukraine war as Russia’s struggle against the West excerpt: “Putin seems desperate to blame the West for everything, which isn't unexpected, but the intensity of the sentiment makes you wonder what lengths they will go as a result,” Ben Friedman, a policy expert at the security think tank Defense Priorities, told Yahoo News. “Annexing territory Russia seems likely to have trouble holding, and hinting about nukes to defend it smacks of desperation and should make all reasonable people nervous.” Putin’s complaints were legion. In his speech from the Kremlin, he quickly shifted from the annexation of the four regions (Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson) to a litany of historical and cultural complaints that had seemingly had nothing to do with the proceedings at hand — but also gave an indication of the deeper battle Putin is waging, an existential contest against Western powers he believes are intent on destroying Russia. Among other things, he denounced transgender rights, the Allied aerial assault on German cities during World War II, slavery, the opium trade, neoliberal capitalism, “the American elite,” secular society and a Western media that he described as essentially mimicking the work of Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels.
Trump doesn't seem to say much today about the global elites like he did in 2016. Article from 2018. Trump campaigned against global elites. Now he is joining them in Davos By Noah Bierman, Staff Writer Jan. 24, 2018 2:16 PM PT Putin recasts his Ukraine war as Russia’s struggle against the West excerpt: "President Trump, the mogul who got elected by railing against global elites in favor of the “forgotten man and the forgotten woman,” on Thursday will fly into the Alpine ski resort where the elites gather annually for a two-day stay certain to be closely watched by both groups. He’ll host some white-badged European captains of industry at a fine dinner, meet with several heads of state from Britain and Africa who have been angered by his rhetoric, and deliver a major address that many at Davos hope will answer the question: How does his “America First” doctrine fit into this year’s theme — “Creating a Shared Future in a Fractured World”?"
Habernan is accurate that Trump is still in his world of 1980 Manhattan real estate where he could pull strings and win nearly every time. He wasn't able to overthrow the 2020 election after trying to pull strings at the state level, which spawned more criminal investigations that he says are a witch hunt. Trump still makes remarks echoing his real estate upbringing. He said that Biden's seat at the Queen's funeral was too far away and that he would have had a closer seat. Trump said that location means everything, like it does in real estate. Another example is his shoving the leader of Montenegro aside to be in front of the cameras first. The other facet that shaped him was his Hollywood-style media life. He was able to bury undesirable stories about him with the help of David Pecker, a tactic that wasn't amenable to DC where almost nothing stays clandestine. His hush money to Daniels eventually surfaced, courtesy of both himself and Giuliani who carelessly helped reveal it (Trump's slip of the tongue on Air Force One to journalists and Giuliani during a TV interview). Haberman noted that Trump during the past year seems detached from reality, such as not being aware of significant events such as holidays. He seemed oblivious to hurricane Ian that hit while he was in FL, apparently not mentioning it publicly until a rally in Michigan days after it struck (he put out messages to his followers to donate money to him as the hurricane was striking). At his MI rally, his hurricane remark was a cursory note at the beginning of a hundred minute grievance speech that was mostly about himself.
That is true. I think he found a doctor to say he is regressing into a second childhood.... so he could get benefits. He now has "staff" to clean his apartment, wash him, shop for him, and put depends on him. He says he hurt his back, so he got a free wheel chair. But, he walks just fine. A while back he installed a giant cow catcher bumper on his truck. It looks like the MAD MAX truck from the Mel Gibson movie. If you are one of them, they give you government benefits and then some more. Half the people in my building get meals on wheels or Mom's meals delivered to their apartment. I don't get anything ... no food stamps, no meals, and no nurse to wash my butt.
