When Trump was first indicted a few weeks ago, monetary contributions to his campaign rose markedly, at least at first. If that seems illogical....well, it is. Now that Dominion's lawsuit has been settled and folks know the truth about Fox News so-called 'reporting,' let's see if their viewership declines. Surely, their viewers will lose faith in an organization that has been proven to be so misleading & downright dishonest, right? My guess is that their audience won't decrease.....and if it doesn't, it will prove conclusively that it's followers aren't interested in the truth; rather, they're concerned about seeing and hearing what they want to see & hear....i.e. what they already believed to be true. Since 2016, I haven't heard anything from Trump himself that was unexpected or surprising; he is the maniac he was all along. What's hard to accept is that tens of millions of people fervently believe & trust in him. How can they be so blind? To that end, the blatant email admissions by Rupert Murdoch & the Fox reporters and editorial people will likely amount to NO consequences of any kind for Fox. They'll continue to operate in Fantasyland and their loyal public will happily remain there with them. Man, do I hope I'm wrong.
'Made-for-TV, culture war, low-calorie nonsense' is a good description of DeSantis who wants a boxing match with Mickey Mouse (or even Minnie Mouse). Trump is similar but puts more bluster into it. Republicans seem like they've already decided that for 2024 they want the full-dose bluster instead of the light version. image:
