And now he's off to 'educate you', having absolutely no clue ... Only so he can deny you have any acomplishments... Only so he can deny you have any associated knowledge So he can malign your education And now he sends you away on a scavenger hunt like a kicked puppy in the rain... when he's not interested in a civil discussion, never was, and never will be. . And THIS is what they call 'civil discussion'... LOL
Obvously missing in this push poll are the only two necessary possibilities, Jimmy Carter and Slow Joe Biden
While I totally disagree with every opinion I've seen from you including this one, you do have a point. Why aren't Biden and Carter on this poll? Kinda makes it incomplete and biased without them.
Carter established the Department of Energy, Department of Education, deregulated the beer industry, doubled the number of national parks, reclaimed abandoned coal mine property, established the environmental clean up Superfund, brokered peace between Egypt and Israel, improved relations with Panama, worked to advance human rights, won a Nobel peace prize, reopened relations with China, signed Salt II, and added 8 million jobs to the economy. He is one of the greatest humanitarian presidents ever. Biden got the Covid epidemic under control, brokered a bipartisan $284 billion infrastructure bill, signed the first gun control bill in 30 years, got $35 billion to make semiconductors in the U.S., got $369 billion to fight climate change, raised $300 billion new federal dollars, improved the IRS, capped prescription drug cost at $2,000 annually, he supports Ukraine in its war with imperialist Russia, ended the war in Afghanistan, achieved record unemployment, strengthened NATO, assassinated Ayman al-Zawahiri, imposed sanctions on Russia due to its invasion of Ukraine, created 6.6 million jobs in one year (more than any president in history), signed the PACT for veterans act, and reauthorized the Violence Against Women Act. I found all that in about 15 minutes. That's why they aren't on the worst president list.
As to Biden he has not finished his term that disqualifies him as anything could happen in the interim, I voted Nixon just to offset the obvious choice or trump and Nixon was pretty damn bad, Carter is/was a great humanitarian but a not so great prez but nowhere near the worst
Ok I get why Biden isn't on here, since his presidency isn't over. And Carter was good and all, but don't you think that he should have at least been included as an option on the list, instead of being skipped over?
Please excuse the digression back to reality from Hunter Biden's Laptop, but as an objective measure, is there another president who has been impeached twice, has been convicted in civil court for sexual abuse & defamation, has been indicted in State & Federal court on 71 counts (so far) including espionage, and personally incited an insurrection to snuff out democracy and overthrow the United States in an attempted coup d'etat to make himself dictator-for-life? No? Considering the above facts (Google it if unfamiliar with the term), I can't fathom how such a simple question with such an obvious answer can generate 47 pages of debate.
Hey, if you can hide a laptop containing impeachable offenses, how hard can it be to run a dishonest push poll for worst president with your finger on the scale... should work for the FBI, division of hidden evidence.
You've seen the contents of the laptop and that's how you know that there are impeachable offenses? Man, I wish I had your connections.
Facts don't matter, and they make no difference when the perp is a Democrat (ie Hillary, the Form 1023, and yes, the laptop that sat on an FBI shelf for 5 years). Coverups work like that... imagine if Richard Nixon had been a Democrat
Kind of a foolish answer, honestly. I get that it's really fun to be smarter than the republican troll that you're arguing against. Oh haha, look, coach is wrong again! We showed em! But seriously, like, you're just going to accept that this is a biased poll because you're so confident that Carter is just beyond reproach? If you were so confident, wouldn't it make more sense to run a fair poll and show the results clearly pointed to someone like Trump, instead of him? I mean, it really doesn't help y'all's case for you to be upholding the validity of this poll when it straight up skips an option because of the favoritism of the people who designed it. It kind of plays exactly into the skewed perception Republicans have right now: Dems rigged this, rigged that, cover up their own mistakes and point out Trump's. Are we going to accept that this poll is biased, and play right into that perception, and let coach use this as ammo against y'all? Sorry, I just think that's foolish as hell.
I never said that Carter was the greast president ever, or that he didn't have his faults. For the poll to be entirely valid it wold have to include all 45 past presidents and exclude the 46th, Biden, as it is conceivable that any president could do something extremely terrible while still in office, so that we can't really say how good or bad he or she was until their term(s) are over. Now as this poll only has 10 men listed the poll is obviously biased, but I didn't make the poll, someone else did. I was asked if I thought Carter should be on the poll, and as the poll only has ten slots and as Carter comes up as the 24th greatest, meaning there were 21 presidents worse then him in a Siena College Research Institute poll and 26th in a C-span poll, we would have to have add a lot more people before we got to Carter.
I would agree that we should add other presidents before Carter, if it weren't for the fact that he was conspicuously skipped in a chronological sense. That said, yeah I would put genocidal Jackson or nukeboy Truman before Carter if it was about who I actually thought was worse. I get that you didn't make the poll, not trying to give you too much grief, I'm just seeking consistency.
You'll never know how hard I laughed at using this little gem as yet another reason why Carter was a 'great President' ..... when in actuality it was Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger's famous visit that largely served to end the USSR's influence in the cold war. I actually survived Carter, as I had re-entered the military under his watch, and his 444 day hostage crisis, and the failed rescue attempt, and the gas lines, and the 14% mortgage rate I had thanks to his 'days of malaise'. And I didn't even have to take 15 minutes to look it up, I lived through those horrible times. And there are many of us (about half the US population) who believe both Reagan and Trump belong on Mt Rushmore, but none of them would likely be found in either a Siena Poll or C-Span.
Yeah…on the backside of Mt Rushmore and at a lower elevation. I was an economist for almost 3 decades and I watched as the Reagan policies caused the greatest redistribution of wealth to the rich since the income statistics were collected. And the tax cuts….most of us got pennies while the already wealthy rolled in excess cash. Don’t take my word for it look at the gini coefficients from decades before RR “aw shucks” cloped into town and did away with anti trust programs that used to prevent monopolies, castrated unions, rewrote tax code, cut programs for the poor and defecated on public lands, and the environment. Mother Theresa….hardly. Trickle down….what a travesty. The distribution of wealth data hit a brick wall in 1980 unmatched in the history of the data. And with a little help from his friends, Bush 1 and 2 and T—-the beat goes on. The most honest member of RR s administration was OMB director David Stockman who talked after class and told us we had thought was really going on. And thanks to a well funded propaganda campaign convinced millions that the problem was the poor, the unions, immigrants, urban dwellers, tribes, California, environmental agencies, spotted owls, Disney, Sweden, not enough assault weapons, etc. And the lies keep coming. We need a re-education campaign all right and not in the way DeSantis and Abbott, and T—‘ and the obscenely wealthy elite would have people believe.
