There are many people. Who for whatever reason. Refuse to look @ food ingredients. Or even if they do. Soaringly proclaim that. Any chemical element unless by scientific standards. Is perfectly safe to eat. But since deemed safe, is. Many people here. Refuse to eat certain foods. Still others consider organic consumers as crackpots. & mind u. Maybe not precisely here that skeptism. But i live among those of that ilk.
And if you try it and itdoesn't work, that doesn't prove it does. And if you try it and you think it works; is it repeatable in a controlled situation? Otherwise it proves nothing.
Some humans, are simply sorta addicted to certain scientific methods. In some cases. Control fouls results. Some realities simply are. It may be possible. That some of these. May be intelligent enough to remain hidden. Do you know what would happen if certain humans. Suddenly became aware of certain of their powers?
Greece makes 79 arson arrests over wildfires - BBC News 79 arrests 2 days ago shows that this is coordinated.
Ok so then the next time there’s Tornados or hot weather I don’t want to hear anyone crying about climate change lol. I will just quote you and say that “climate is different than weather.”
Perhaps you need an explanation. Weather is short term atmospheric occurrences, such as it rained today, it will be hot tomorrow, or there was a tornado yesterday. Climate, on the other hand, refers to long term trends, such as the Abbassia Pluvial period which lasted circa 120,000 to 90,000 years ago. During this period the climate of the Sahara Desert region was wet and there was no desert. Instead that region's climate allowed for lakes, streams, and vegetation in an area that is now desert. During that time the weather during any particular day, week, month, or year may have been sunny, cloudy, rainy, dry, foggy, cold, hot, windy, stormy,...or maybe even a tornado. But over all, if we average the weather events together over those thirty thousand years we find that it was generally a wet and rainy period. Note that the weather can change from day to day, but the climate only changes over many years, in this case thirty thousand. But, also note that as the climate changed over many years, the day to day weather also changed. In this case the day to day weather got drier; and over thirty thousand years the climate changed as more and more days became dryer. Now today we are finding that the weather is reflecting a change in climate, or you can look at it the other way around and say as the day to day weather is changing so is the climate because the changes in weather are cumulative. In other words it's not getting hotter just today, or this week, month, or year; it's getting hotter over an extended period of time and the escalation in heat is getting worse, it isn't temporary like day to day weather. As to your point about hot weather and tornadoes. When the morning news report tells us it will be hot or to watch out for a tornado, they are talking about the weather. When scientist get together and look at the number of days in an extended time period, say a hundred years, and find that the temperature reached one hundred degrees for so many days and compare that to another period of time. They are talking about climate. Same with tornadoes. If we see an increase in hot days and an increase in tornadoes over an extended period of time, as we are now seeing, we can surmise that the climate is changing. “Weather is your mood, and climate is your personality.” ~ Tom Di Liberto, climatologist
If you’re skeptical about the source of my quote, here is a website from 2011 attempting to “debunk” the quote. It looks as if the original source of the quote has been officially memory-holed at this point, which does not surprise me. Debunked: "Others are engaging even in an eco- type of terrorism" Here’s the full dialogue: “Cohen made the remark as part of an answer given at a conference, the Sam Nunn Policy Forum being hosted by the University of Georgia, "on Terrorism, Weapons of Mass Destruction, and U.S. Strategy", on April 28th 1997. His full answer is below, showing the quote in context. Emphasis mine. Q: Let me ask you specifically about last week's scare here in Washington, and what we might have learned from how prepared we are to deal with that (inaudible), at B'nai Brith. A: Well, it points out the nature of the threat. It turned out to be a false threat under the circumstances. But as we've learned in the intelligence community, we had something called -- and we have James Woolsey here to perhaps even address this question about phantom moles. The mere fear that there is a mole within an agency can set off a chain reaction and a hunt for that particular mole which can paralyze the agency for weeks and months and years even, in a search. The same thing is true about just the false scare of a threat of using some kind of a chemical weapon or a biological one. There are some reports, for example, that some countries have been trying to construct something like an Ebola Virus, and that would be a very dangerous phenomenon, to say the least. Alvin Toeffler has written about this in terms of some scientists in their laboratories trying to devise certain types of pathogens that would be ethnic specific so that they could just eliminate certain ethnic groups and races; and others are designing some sort of engineering, some sort of insects that can destroy specific crops. Others are engaging even in an eco- type of terrorism whereby they can alter the climate, set off earthquakes, volcanoes remotely through the use of electromagnetic waves. So there are plenty of ingenious minds out there that are at work finding ways in which they can wreak terror upon other nations. It's real, and that's the reason why we have to intensify our efforts, and that's why this is so important.”
& some of the methods & tools. Utilized in achieving this. Are paranormal in nature. Is partially why they are getting away with it. As they well know how we are. Some of yall say these changes are nothing new. This is partially right. Especially when ya learn. Just who these are doing it.
Assuming that this quote is correct, it's a discussion about a hypothetical capability. It doesn't mean the when there's an earthquake or volcanic eruption that a terror group from a James Bond film is behind it. I think it's at least plausible that there could be terror groups that deliberately set fires, but the supply of dead wood and dry grass would be the fundamental factor that would make this successful. In other words, it's climate change that has created conditions that allow for these mass scale fires, whether they're started lightning, accidents, lone arsonists, or organized arsonists.
This is pretty disingenuous and mental gymnastics. If I were to switch this to “I think it’s at least plausible that there are gang rapes, but the supply of vulnerable drunk slutty women would be the fundamental factor that would make this successful. In other words, it’s women being so attractive and going out in a promiscuous manner that has created conditions that has allowed for these rapes, whether they happen accidentally, by lone rapists, or organized gang rapists”… …I don’t think you would buy it.
& guess what. Our ancestors knew of these. & we are only just now rediscovering em. Took us a lil while.
Sure, if you could control the weather enough to effect the climate. Basically that's what we're doing by burning fossil fuels and chopping down trees thus raising carbon dioxide levels and trapping heat in the atmosphere. Of course we aren't directly effecting the weather by making it rain today at 4 o'clock or quelling a tornado over Kansas. We're just raising the overall temperature which leads to daily weather changes and if protracted, climate change..
I don't understand how you are supporting your point here. The article you posted makes no mention of coordination amongst the 79 people arrested. It does however state that the increase in fires is related to climate change.
While its partia lly true. These changes r from our slashing trees. & burning alot. This is done enough here in the ozarks. Add our automobile addictions to that equation. Maybe on a normal basis. Nature can bounce back given time from some things. We did actually get some reprieve during covid. But again. This is different. There are many factors involved. As well. The changes themselves sorta evolved as mentioned by chinacat. One of the reasons may be. That we may have handled previous changes to a certain extent. But they are bothered by our unexpected developments. Thefore they had to pull harsher tactics. & these may occasionally run away from even their control. Because of this & other factors. Our normal allies. Have been allowed to step in to a certain extent. I wish i could convey. Precisely who the culprits are. They are similar to james bond villians. But its worse than that. As dr. Mccoy said. A comprehensive timeline would be nice. Katrina provides an example.
Doesn’t climate change boil down to the statement that pollution is bad? The debate is about how much irreversible damage how much pollution create, and about how to balance the damage with the short-term needs of business
