no no no, in the video....he mentioned 'bad arguments'....as opposed to what, good ones?? Some people just want to argue - they have no chance of changing their minds, no matter, and we have no chance in changing ours. I an A in freshman chemistry, back when they still had wood-fired atoms. Organic chemistry was my favorite, if you could have favorites in chemistry. Let's not talk thermodynamics....gahh.
Just because we don’t yet have a Grand Unified Theory, this doesn’t mean that the Classical world is separate from the Quantum. We just don’t fully understand it yet. There’s no exact dividing “line” between them, however.
Some adults even believe organic food, etc., ain't neccesarily organic. & the whole organic industry is some sorta hoax, or something.
That's right, the classical world is not separate from the quantum world. in climatology we rely on classical physics, just as we rely on classical physics every time we drive our car down the road.
You do realize that magic doesn't exist? Assuming that you could somehow influence natural events by citing some supernatural incantation, or working some sort of supernatural spell, that is something beyond the natural state of reality; the very fact that you could do so would make in natural, not supernatural and therefore not magic.
Of course you refuse to discuss this in the philo section. Why bring it up in a thread about climate?
We should thank ChinacatSunflower for brigning Passio to our attention. Mark Passio, occultist and former Satanist priest, tells us how Satanists and occultists --especially the shadowy Illuminati--are running our lives. They are practicing human farming and dys-genics and epi-dysenics to get the humans to cull themselves into a weak, manipulable herd which can be easily controlled. One of the people he credits as a source of his ideas is David Icke, proponent of the lizard people from outer space conspiracy theory. Like other conspiracy theorists, what he says is irrefutable, and in his case, depends on our trust of an ex-Satanist priest's judgment and integrity. I put him in the same category with Alex Jones, Icke, and the Q-Anon crew. No surprise Chinacat likes him.
I've been puzzled by that myself. If I understand the syllogism, it's: Quantum physics has shown that all human ideas about reality are subjective. His subjective idea is that climate change is a hoax. Therefore, climate change is a hoax. But wait a minute. That makes no sense, as a statement about reality.
Yes, superstition goes back to ancient and medieval times. Recent formulations are largely derivative, dressing up the witches and warlocks in modern garb.
Nearly every culture on Earth, is aware of the dualities that have struggled against each other for billions of yrs. In fact, to say none of any of that exists. Is in essence, falling for the dark plan. Because they love it, when we are like that. There are more things wherever. Than whomever can dream of.
What's known as magic, is as much a science as anything. Especially since it encompasses much more than our puny efforts.
