Trump supposedly didn't know while he was having trouble reaching his buddies in Congress on the phone because of the ongoing riot.

That's the same Trump who found out about Jared's thyroid cancer. A befuddled Jared asked Trump how he found out.

Trump's bragging response was that he's the president and knows everything.

Some of the polls showing Trump tied with Biden also show 25 to 30% percent of the people undecided.

With any luck, when it comes time to actually vote, people will ask themselves why they were even thinking about reelecting Trump.

A fraying coalition: Black, Hispanic, young voters abandon Biden as election year begins

    excerpt:

"I think he's done a reasonably sound job, but it's not been a 'wow' administration," said Michelle Derr, 55, a Democrat who plans to vote for Biden. The small-business owner from Alexandria, Virginia, a suburb just outside Washington, was among those surveyed. "For me, it's disappointing that we have two old white guys in this race again. I want to look forward to the future."

Trump 'stands alone in American history' for alleged election crimes: Special counsel

    excerpt:

"Smith also disputed the argument from Trump's legal team that his efforts to convince his supporters the election was stolen were not "deceptive" because he himself genuinely believes the 2020 election was fraudulent.

According to Smith, even if Trump "could supply admissible evidence of his own personal belief that the election was 'rigged' or 'stolen,' it would not license him to deploy fraud and deceit to remedy what he perceived to be a wrong, and it would not provide a defense to the charge.""

Trump doesn't see his beliefs and actions as fraud and deceit (but accuses others of doing it when they are actually abiding by the law).

Moreover, Trump thinks he has absolute immunity for any act he did as president, which renders the debate about his culpability moot.

Trump talks like he's dying on the cross for his followers.

His propaganda has turned into a melding of religion and 1930's fascism.

Biden won’t run, Labour won’t win a landslide, Middle East may find peace

    excerpt:

"For those who have not been paying close attention, it is important to note that Trump’s campaign rhetoric has moved to a very dark place, way beyond the familiar puerile name-calling and traducing of the Constitution.

He is now saying to his followers (whom he describes as those “who have been wronged and betrayed”), “I am your retribution”, and further, in what could be seen as a blasphemous parody of the Christian message, “I am being indicted for you”.

Note: he is no longer claiming simply that he speaks for them, but that he is the embodiment of their victimhood.

This is not populist rant anymore: it is the language of a mystical cult. Then add to that his most recent observation that mass migration is “poisoning the blood” of America. This is not only a clear plagiarism of the most infamous political message of the last century but an absurd claim to make about a country whose population has no shared historical bloodline."

The only people that could legitimately say that mass migration is ruining / has ruined this country would be the native Americans.

Storm The Capitol' board game celebrates Jan. 6 rioters.

"Storm the Capitol" board game celebrates Jan. 6 rioters

    excerpt:

"A new board game is being released this weekend to commemorate the January 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.

"Storm the Capitol — TrueAnon Edition" will be available for purchase beginning Saturday, which marks the third anniversary of the attack on the Capitol. The limited edition game, which is designed for 4 to 7 adult players and is being sold for $64.99, is based on the events that unfolded on January 6 and allows players to "Relive one of the funniest days in American history!"

"Take control of one of 6 Patriots as you battle through the Capitol, collecting ballots, taking hostages, and fighting the police. Or play as the Capitol Police and use every means at your disposal to prevent the Patriots from getting to the roof with enough ballots to Stop the Steal," the game's website states."

U.S. public stance softens on Trump's rioters.

Poll: U.S views on Jan. 6 rioters softening; most believe Trump rightly held accountable

    excerpt:

"Poll data showed a mild decline in respondents who said the Jan. 6 participants were "mostly violent," with 50% of respondents agreeing with the sentiment as opposed to 54% in 2021.

Meanwhile, slightly more Americans said they see the sentences handed down to Jan. 6 participants as too harsh, up to 26% in 2023 compared to 19% in 2021, while the percentage of Americans who see the sentences as being too lenient has decreased from 51% in 2021 to 38% in 2023. The number of people who saw legal punishments as fair increased from 28% to 35% during the same time period.

The percentage of Americans who see the 2020 election as legitimate also decreased from 69% in 2021 to 62% in 2023, with the number of people saying the election was not legitimate increasing from 29% in 2021 to 36% in 2023."

That stance about Trump could also soften in the upcoming years, like it did for his rioters.

God to Trump: "Why did you tell people to rot in hell on the day of the birth of my son?"

Trump: "I thought I was your son."

Opinion: The Supreme Court could make a Trump victory virtually impossible

    excerpt:

"The 2024 presidential race is likely to come down to a handful of key swing states. Based on recent elections, voter registration trends and other factors, it’s reasonable to assume that the 2024 winner will be decided by the voters of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin plus single Electoral College votes in Maine and Nebraska based on presidential preferences in individual House districts."

Inside the Trump Plot to Turn His Jan. 6 Trial Into a ‘MAGA Freak Show’

    excerpt:

“It’s not gonna work,” Cobb bluntly assesses. “Trump and his lawyers, I’m sure, would like to see [the trial] devolve into a chaotic circus, but I don’t think they’re even going to get that… The biggest problem Donald Trump and his lawyers have is that they have no evidence and they have no witnesses… I haven’t seen a single email or document that would be helpful to him… Even if Rudy Giuliani testified for Trump’s defense, Rudy could easily end up making the government’s case for them. So who can they call? They don’t have anybody!”
