Comer, searching for a China-Biden link for which to impeach Biden, found Trump instead.

James Comer searched for China link to Biden — but Oversight found Trump instead: reporter

    excerpt;

"And what this report outlines, with a great deal of specificity, are the types of payments that many of these foreign governments were making to his various businesses. The number one country over this two-year period that had participated in or had patronized Trump-associated businesses was China, which of course Donald Trump has been a fierce critic of, particularly as it relates to Hunter Biden, the current president's son."

Comer found an innocuous $4,000 payment from Biden to his son in 2018 when he wasn't in the White House while finding about $8 million in foreign money funneled to Trump while he was president.

James Comer searched for China link to Biden — but Oversight found Trump instead: reporter

    excerpt:

"The Republicans in the Oversight Committee have been unable to find such a payment. The amount that they've alleged Biden took from foreign entities through his son has shrunk to about $4,000, which Biden loaned his son so he could buy a 2018 truck. Hunter Biden paid his father back in monthly installments."

More money from foreign governments to Trump might have been found through Trump's accounting firm than the two years worth of records showed, but the firm dumped him.

The GOP hasn't been willing to obtain the full four years of records of Trump, probably because it's worried about even more embarrassing information about Trump being uncovered.

James Comer searched for China link to Biden — but Oversight found Trump instead: reporter

    excerpt:

"They were only able to collect that two-year period worth of time because the accounting firm that was working with Donald Trump during that window of time separated from him and no longer was willing to do business with him," said Nobels.

The Supreme Court helped Trump on the abortion issue by overturning Roe v. Wade and taking away due process from women that it had established in Roe v. Wade in 1973 via the 14th Amendment.

Now it has an opportunity to give Trump extra due process when the 14th Amendment says he's disqualified from holding office.

Habba is making the same type of remarks as Trump who said that Pence should step up and have the courage to steal the election from Biden.

Why the QAnon Shaman wants to return to Capitol Hill – as a congressman

    except:

"Years before January 6, he had already started going to the Arizona Capitol in his trademark horns and fur headdress, made from coyote tails. ‘In the Diné Navajo tradition, the coyote is viewed as the trickster or the deceiver, so I’m wearing the trickster skin. You can’t fool me.’"

Trump campaign coordinated MI fake elector scheme.

Trump Campaign Coordinated Michigan Fake 2020 Elector Scheme: Report

    excerpt:

"On the same day, Trump co-defendant John Eastman told Epshteyn that they were trying to hold Biden under 270 electoral votes to push the decision to the House. “If the Republicans there hold true and vote with their state delegations, Trump should win a bare majority of the states,” Eastman wrote. The Detroit News reported that the fake elector documents were filed under different names of state GOP officials to make them appear more believable."

3 Years After The Jan. 6 Riot, The GOP Is More Pro-Insurrection Than Ever

    excerpt:

Five people died during or immediately after the Capitol attack, and four police officers who’d been in the fray later died by suicide. More than 140 officers were injured. Nevertheless, Trump isn’t alone in seeking to excuse, downplay or use conspiracies to explain away the day’s horrific events.

At a December GOP presidential debate, biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy echoed the far-right conspiracy theory that FBI agents were behind Jan. 6. “Why am I the only person on this stage at least who can say that Jan. 6 now does look like it was an inside job?” he asked."

In a way, Ramaswamy's remark could be factual. The insurrection was an inside job,,, by Trump.

As more evidence is being unveiled, Trump and his attorneys are increasingly being seen as the ones who concocted the fake elector schemes in the swing states he lost.

Right-wing lawmakers are stoking conspiracy theories about the 2021 attack, and Republican voters are eating them up.

3 Years After The Jan. 6 Riot, The GOP Is More Pro-Insurrection Than Ever

    excerpt:

"In its immediate aftermath, prominent Republicans criticized Trump and held him responsible. Now, that’s almost hard to believe; many have since recanted and endorsed his 2024 presidential bid.

A Washington Post-University of Maryland poll released this week found that the number of Republicans who believe Joe Biden legitimately won the 2020 presidential election has dropped from 39% in 2021 to 31%, while 34% of Republicans believe the FBI was somehow in on the insurrection."

Trump may try the idiot excuse like his rioters, even though Trump had numerous attorneys and officials around him who told him he legitimately lost the 2020 election. Trump chose to believe the truthers, like Giuliani and Eastman.

Prosecutors are anticipating that Trump will blame his attorneys at the last minute to try to further delay his criminal trials.

Why Trump can't use the 'idiot' defense other Jan. 6 defendants often lean on

    excerpt;

"Smith’s team could even win convictions by convincing jurors that Trump was willfully blind to the fact that he lost the 2020 election, and prosecutors can call upon his own former aides, appointees and campaign officials to illustrate that he was repeatedly presented with overwhelming and credible evidence that he had lost.

    That leaves Trump’s lawyers cornered.

“In essence, many of the Jan. 6 participants have said that they were useful idiots,” said NBC News legal analyst Joyce Vance, a former top federal prosecutor. “Trump literally cannot do that.”

“I think he’ll be forced, if he goes to trial, to rely on this defense that he honestly believed he had won the election,” Vance said. “The government’s evidence is so very strong to the contrary that it is hard to believe that a jury would credit that, but of course, he only has to play to one juror, so that will likely be the strategy.”"
