Trump is leading Biden in Catholic vote by 12% in 2024 compared to 1% in 2020.

Trump Polls Ahead of Biden Among Catholic Voters with Shift in Hispanic Vote

    excerpt:

"Overall, Pew has Trump leading by only 1% among the general voter population. His support among the Catholic demographic, however, shows noteworthy signs of growth compared with 2020.

According to the latest Pew Research Center poll, which was taken April 8–14, Trump leads Biden among Catholics 55% to 43%. The 12% lead is a significant increase from 2020, when Catholics voted in favor of Trump by just 1%, 50% to 49%."

Still no sign of Melania in any of Trump's cases or trials, civil or criminal.

She doesn't have incentive to be with Trump at the hush money trial. The affair Trump reportedly had with Daniels was during the time that Melania was pregnant with Barron.

    No Ivanka either.

Trump's wealthy donor private retreat included a repulsive retinue of:

Tim (I Love You, Trump!) Scott

Elise Stefanik (stolen election conspiracy enthusiast)

JD Vance (stolen election conspiracy enthusiast)

Kristi Noem (proud killer of her own dog and goat)

In 2016, JD Vance called Trump an idiot and reprehensible.

That was before Trump's mindset and behavior became even more pathological.

Vance changed his mind completely. In 2022 Trump endorsed Vance for a U.S. Senate seat in Ohio and he won.

Those people ( all the suck-ass republicans )know he is reprehensible and acts like a disgusting toddler----all of them. They are just pandering to the thoughtless morons that REALLY do love and respect the fuckin' jerk so that they can get their votes and keep their jobs. To me , it just shows how immoral and gutless they are.:mad: It's sad and frightening how trump has brought out such trump- like behavior in so many citizens. :(

Before Trump launched his 2024 presidential campaign, people were talking about to which country Trump might flee to avoid prosecution. Bloggers stated that they thought he was refurbishing his 757 to flee the U.S.

Now that he has a reasonable chance of being reelected and in light of talk in the Supreme Court about potentially giving him immunity, politicians, media figures, and people in the general public are, jokingly or not, surmising to which country they may flee to avoid being on the receiving end of the authoritarianism of Trump.

It's not meant to be critical of older people in general. People like Bernie Sanders who is 82 still have a sharp mind. Sanders has maintained a consistent and rational political view for decades.

But various Trump associates (and Trump himself) are well past their career primes and are showing serious psychological issues, such as having difficulty in distinguishing reality from fantasy (Eastman, Giuliani, Flynn). They no longer appeal to objective facts and reason.

Bar associations are currently considering or have already acted to suspend or permanently disbar them to prevent them from doing any more damage to others or themselves. The civil and criminal court systems are holding them accountable. Examples include Giuliani losing a $148 million defamation suit to election worker Ruby Freeman and his election subversion criminal cases in GA and AZ.

Jon Stewart was correct about Tucker Carlson in 2004, long before Carlson devolved into an exceedingly compulsive liar.

It took another 19 years for Fox to lose a defamation suit for $787 million that required Fox to fire Carlson. Fox settled a day before the Dominion defamation trial was to begin.

Fox currently avoids talking about Trump's stolen election narratives and will cite disclaimers when the person it's interviewing starts spouting stolen election narratives again.

Although it is still boot-licking Trump, Fox is no longer giving Trump free reign like it used to when he could call Fox anytime and whine for 30 minutes non-stop to the point where Fox had to finally politely cut him off after even it became annoyed by him.

The problem is that the damage has already been done, like the Vietnam war going on for years before the public finally turned against it after it had been warned by the counter-culture, which was initially attacked for its stance.

Trump became president. The mindset of the voting public has become so numb to the reprehensible behavior of Trump that it has become perceived as a virtue of him. He currently has a reasonable chance of being reelected in an election that most surveys are showing as a near tie.

In the Nixon era, this would be equivalent to people loving Nixon even more, supporting the Vietnam war even more, coddling Nixon during an impeachment and trial in the Senate to keep him in office, trying to render the whole Constitutional impeachment process moot by giving him absolute immunity (indicated nowhere in the Constitution) to commit crimes freely because, without immunity, he might commit crimes (to stay in office) to avoid prosecution.

The problem has become much more serious now than it was in the Nixon era. Half the voting public, the GOP in Congress (vanquished by Trump), and even the U.S. Supreme Court (courtesy three Trump appointments whose effect will last for decades) have devolved into an ongoing Alice In Wonderland mindset where what were once considered liabilities and outright criminal behaviors are now seen as virtues. It's questionable whether there are any remedies for such a state of mind once it has permeated the public and government.
