Ron Johnson is a spoiled kid.

He tried to transfer fake electors to Pence on Jan. 6 and was kept safe by Capitol police during the riot.

Years later, he's still ignoring the injuries 140 police officers sustained while protecting him that he thinks didn't happen because the rioters didn't use guns.

He's also ignoring the death of Officer Sicknick the day after the riot and four police officers who committed suicide in the aftermath.

 

Sometimes it's difficult to tell if Cannon is really that clueless about the law or if she's just using a rope-a-dope tactic to frustrate the prosecution.

Trump won't answer questions when he exits the courtroom at the end of the day.

He does his usual speech about unfair, witch hunt, conflicted judge. Then he walks away.

 

Trump is upset that the prosecution didn't call witnesses that his own defense team could have called.

Trump himself could have testified as a witness but didn't after saying he absolutely would.

 

Trump's defense team called only two witnesses. The second, Costello, was who made a fool of himself and Trump by insulting the judge, enough that Merchan removed everyone from the courtroom to reprimand Costello.

Costello is a longtime associate of Giuliani.

After all the damage Giuliani has done to Trump, Trump still won't give him up.

Giuliani has wrecked his own life for Trump and still won't stop wrecking it.

 

The way Trump's attorneys presented his case in court, it seemed like they were hoping for a hung jury rather than an acquittal.

A motif of Trump's defense was that supposedly everyone does what Trump does (falsifying business records, under-the-table payments to hide incidents, burying bad news stories using catch-and-kill, hiring liars and cheats, having affairs with porn stars, bragging about being able to grab women by the crotch, not reporting fringe benefits on tax returns, hiring people like Weisselberg who has gone to prison twice related to Trump, etc.)

 

What next? The supporters of the rioters could try to draft some fake documents to try to trick the Arlington security into thinking they have permission to deposit the stone in the cemetery.

Trump is trying to tap into the cult-group resentment of the government to give himself more power in his own MAGA cult.
