Trump needs more PR gags to portray himself as a victim.

Such as saluting himself in a big mirror at the start of his rallies while the J6 prisoner choir sings the perverted version of the National Anthem and a recording of each of the 12 jurors saying 'Guilty on all 34 felony charges' plays in the background.

David Pecker was the key. He tied Trump's pymt to the campaign, which Michael Cohen corroborated.

I guess Trump and his billionaire friends couldn't buy the NY court like he did the Supreme Court.

Considering that Giuliani has been charged with crimes for trying to overthrow the 2020 election since that cartoon was published, it needs to be updated showing Giuliani in the prison cell with Trump.

Trump's 'attacking everyone' strategy 'backfired' in a 'winnable' case: ex-prosecutor

    excerp:

"Trump barely put on any effective defense during the trial, only calling two witnesses, one of whom antagonized the judge. He chose instead to focus on his daily rants outside the courthouse, attacking the process and claiming he is a victim of a political hit job — and inside the courtroom, noted Mariotti, his team resorted to a "haphazard cacophony of denials and personal attacks."

"Trump's team spent some time personally attacking Cohen, wrote Mariotti — but "the defense made so many other points, and fought so many other things, that it failed to focus the jury on the weaknesses in the prosecution’s case and instead tried to fight everything and everyone, even when it gained little by doing so." That ultimately watered down any defense they might have had."

Trump is complaining that the prosecution didn't call key witnesses that would have helped exonerate him.

That's the job of Trump's team, not the prosecution.

Trump's Newest Whine Has 1 Glaring Flaw, And Critics Can't Help Pointing It Out

    excerpts:

"Critics of the former president pointed out that his team could have called any witnesses they wanted ― and that Trump had insisted he would “absolutely” testify himself but ultimately didn’t:"

"You can see Trump's lawyer, Todd Blanche, standing next to him and thinking, "Oh shit, was I supposed to call WITNESSES?!?"

I kinda feel like, whatever. He's still a powerful rich white man. I'm sure his sentence will be a slap on the wrist and it will not interfere with the election.

I mean, the fact Trump was elected the first time proves there are no consequences to his actions.

Let’s not forget that the crime took place in an election setting. Had the crime not been committed, the results in 2016 might well have been different. The nation was victimized and the US has and continues to pay a price for the T Presidency. No wonder he has continued to wring his hands about a “rigged election”.

Why are people so attracted to charismatic narcissists.

Why Do We Fall for Charismatic Narcissists as Leaders?

    excerpt:

"Why are such leaders more likely to rise to the top? One study suggests that despite being perceived as arrogant, narcissistic individuals radiate “an image of a prototypically effective leader.” Narcissistic leaders know how to draw attention toward themselves. They enjoy the visibility. It takes time for people to see that these early signals of competence are not later realized, and that a leader’s narcissism reduces the exchange of information among team members and often negatively affects group performance.

It’s not that charismatic and narcissistic people can’t make good leaders. One study found that narcissistic CEOs “favor bold actions that attract attention, resulting in big wins or big losses.” A narcissistic leader can represent a high-risk, high-reward proposition.

The problem is that we select negative charismatic leaders much more frequently than in the limited situations where the risk they represent might pay off. Their charisma proves irresistible, despite a grandiose view of themselves, low empathy, dominant orientation toward others and a strong sense of entitlement. Followers of superheroes are enthralled by their showmanship: Through their sheer magnetism, narcissistic leaders transform their environments into a competitive game in which their followers also become more self-centered, giving rise to organizational narcissism, as one study shows."

    Even worse than organizational narcissism.

An infection of narcissism and cultism at the national, societal level.

We're watching the largest and most dangerous 'cult' in American history

    ecerpt:

"Rather than being seen as passive victims to an irresistible force, psychiatrist Robert Lifton argues that there is “voluntary self-surrender” in one’s entrance into a cult. Further, the decision to give up control as part of the cult process may actually be part of the reason why people join.

Research and experience tell us that those who are “cult vulnerable” may have a sense of confusion or separation from society or seek the same sort of highly controlled environment that was part of their childhood. It has also been suggested that those who are at risk for cult membership feel an enormous lack of control in the face of uncertainty (i.e., economic, occupational, academic, social, familial) and will gravitate more towards a cult as their distress increases. I would argue that many of these factors are at play when we see the ongoing support of Trumpism and MAGA “theology.”"

Eastman's law license in DC was temporarily suspended in May 2024.

One of Eastman's arguments to try to keep himself from being suspended is that he's defending Trump's other shady characters and that the money he's earning as an attorney helps pay his legal costs to defend himself from criminal charges in Trump-related criminal cases (the cases Eastman precipitated because of his criminal behavior to help Trump try to steal the 2020 election from Biden, which is why his law license has been suspended).

The only non-consecutive two-term president in the U.S. is Grover Cleveland. He lost to Harrison in 1888 in his reelection campaign but beat Harrison in 1892.

Trump has a chance to do it to Biden with Trump having 34 felony convictions against him.

Biden faces the prospect of losing to a convicted felon.

Trump is probably itching to defend those two rappers on his stage from the justice system.

It's awkward for him. He's been complaining that NY isn't doing enough to bring criminals to justice and that he's being unfairly targeted.

    A 140-count indictment.

    https://www.cnn.com/2024/05/24/politics/trump-rappers-bronx-rally-indicted/index.html

    excerpt:

"Williams faces charges over an alleged conspiracy to commit murder and Chambers has been charged as a co-conspirator in a sprawling 140-count indictment, according to a news release by the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office and court documents. They have pleaded not guilty to the charges. Williams and Tegan are two of 32 alleged gang members who were named in the indictment, which includes charges of murder, shootings and assaults."

Former Trump 2016 campaign official beats Holland in TX primary.

Holland had voted to impeach Paxton.

Former Trump official wins Texas GOP primary runoff

    excerpt:

"Republican Katrina Pierson, who served as the spokesperson for former President Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign, defeated incumbent state Rep. Justin Holland in Tuesday's primary runoff for Texas' 33rd House District, and is the presumptive winner of November's general election since no Democrat candidate is standing in the race.

Pierson had the backing of Republican Texas Gov. Gregg Abott, who sought to oust incumbent Republicans opposed to some of his policy objectives."

Curious as to what countries around the world would think of Trump being reelected.

The democratic countries around the world were embarrassed that Bush Jr. was reelected.

Trump, a convicted felon, is in a league of his own.

Fox is having difficulty digesting Trump guilty verdict.

    Pirro remarks.

Fox News Completely Melts Down Over Trump’s Guilty Verdict: ‘This Is Warfare!’

    excerpt:

“I want to believe that Americans believe in justice, and I think that in their gut, they realized that there is something that is very wrong here,” she groused. “We have gone over a cliff in America. This verdict is a verdict of someone who was forced to fight a 1,000-pound gorilla with both hands tied behind his back.

Moments later, the former president walked out of the courthouse and, naturally, ranted that the “whole country” was rigged against him."
