It seems that way to Pirro at Fox because she and others like her are used to Trump having the upper hand for decades by using his wealth and power in the civil and entertainment sectors where he's been the 1,000 lb gorilla and others he's taken advantage of (like small, family-run contractor businesses he stiffed) are the ones with their hands tied behind their backs.

He ran into a brick wall in the criminal docket.

Trump could still vote for himself after New York conviction if he’s not in prison on Election Day – WDTN.com

    excerpt:

"That’s because Florida defers to other states’ disenfranchisement rules for residents convicted of out-of-state felonies. In Trump’s case, New York law only removes the right to vote for people convicted of felonies when they’re incarcerated. Once they’re out of prison, their rights are automatically restored, even if they’re on parole, per a 2021 law passed by the state’s Democratic legislature.

“If a Floridian’s voting rights are restored in the state of conviction, they are restored under Florida law,” Blair Bowie of the Campaign Legal Center wrote in a post, noting that people without Trump’s legal resources are often confused by Florida’s complex rules.

So as long as Trump isn’t sent to prison, he can vote for himself in Florida in November’s election."

Yahoo is part of the Yahoo family of brands

    excerpt:

"Outside the courthouse, some Trump superfans grew deranged as they watched people celebrate the verdict—hugging, kissing, and chanting in joy.

“Motherfuckers, motherfuckers,” one man, wearing a red Joe & the Hoe Gotta Go hat, yelled at celebrators. “You suck, you suck, there is no justice in this country... Not guilty, he’s not guilty, pieces of shit. Eat shit and die you fucking corrupt motherfuckers.”"

Court sketch artist said Trump looked demolished during verdict.

Trump looked 'very demolished' by verdict, says court sketch artist who captured the moment

    excerpt:

"Afterward, Trump appeared deflated, said Cornell, whose 30-year career has included sketching the trials of the Gambino mobster John Gotti, the Ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff, the Central Park Five, the subway vigilante Bernie Goetz, and even the former Filipino First Lady Imelda Marcos."

Trump's main defense attorney Blanche was in error about Trump's age when he said he wasn't going to prison.

Blanche said Trump was 78 or 79.

    Trump is currently 77.

Pence is also running to Trump's defense.

Pence says Trump's conviction is a disservice to the country.

It’s really something to the GoP like this. Just a few years ago their slogan was “ the party of law and order “, they used that phrase so much.

Even members of the GOP who seemed like that had a sliver of ethics and rationality left in them have run to Trump's aid after his conviction.

Susan Collins’s Really Dumb Trump Defense Reveals the GOP’s Sickness

    excerpt:

"The party is an appendage of one man. Republicans want to talk about banana republics? They are the Banana Republicans. This is like Argentina under Perón or the Philippines under Marcos.

And to what manner of man are they appended? Let’s review. He’s a rapist—yes, a judge used that word and said it was accurate, after, remember, another jury of Trump’s peers ruled against him. He’s a massive tax cheat. Six of his political associates, plus Allen Weisselberg (and Cohen, if you want to count him), have been sentenced to prison. Three took plea deals to avoid prison. And now, he’s a convicted felon.

The emperor is stripped barer and barer with each passing month, and the Republican response is to praise his finery more passionately than ever."

Susan Collins’s Really Dumb Trump Defense Reveals the GOP’s Sickness

    excerpt:

"And by the way: If Cohen and Daniels were such terrible witnesses, you know what action by the defense could have immediately canceled them out? Having Trump take the stand! He threatened that he was going to, but that was obviously bullshit, just like everything he says. Trump can’t take a witness stand, as any credible lawyer knows, because he lies every time he opens his jowly mouth. But if the alternate universe they live in on Fox was real, then Trump should definitely have taken the stand, because he would have obliterated Cohen and Daniels with his righteous truth-telling.

But of course he didn’t. Because every word he has said about this is a lie. He had sex with her. He paid her off. It was obviously about the 2016 campaign. We’ve known all these things for years, but, the law being what it is, we had to say “allegedly” and “if proven” and things like that, and we had to print Trump’s disavowals. Now we don’t. He did it."

Pence is also saying that the conviction of Trump makes the U.S. look bad on the world stage.

Pence makes a remark like that after Trump incited a violent insurrection at the Capitol to try to steal the election from Biden and left Pence stranded in the basement of the Capitol trying to make arrangements for the National Guard to rescue him and members of Congress while Trump sat in the dining room at the White House and did nothing to stop it for hours.

In light of Trump's conviction, maybe Pence will change his mind and say that now he will vote for Trump.

    Trump remark Friday:

"The judge "wouldn't allow us to have witnesses, you wouldn't allow us to talk, you wouldn't allow us to do anything. The judge was a tyrant."
