Justice Merchan was born in Colombia.

He was raised in Queens, which is the same borough as Trump.

Ivanka's response to Trump guilty verdict is, "I love you dad."

She could have at least showed up once at Trump's hush money trial in NY.

Trump had a slew of repulsive people attend his criminal trial.

    https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2024/05/31/trump-bungled-the-trial-00160941

    excerpt:

"The only real reason that Trump has not already stood trial for allegedly trying to steal the 2020 election is because the Supreme Court is controlled by a 6-3 conservative majority that has adopted completely unnecessary stalling tactics to delay the prosecution — now potentially until after the 2024 election. It should also be noted that this majority includes three of Trump’s appointees, three people who literally worked to deliver the presidency to the Republican Party in 2000, and some of the most political and ethically compromised justices in the history of the court."

    Chuck Zito - Wikipedia

    excerpt:

"According to prosecutors, one membership requirement of the Hells Angels' New York City chapter was that prospective members must kill or attempt to kill a target selected by the club as part of an initiation process. Zito allegedly earned his membership in the club by attempting to murder Robert Giangarra, a Queens pizzeria owner who had previously shot and injured Hells Angels biker Cortland "Chip" Candow in a Manhattan bar. According to testimony from John Joseph "Pirate" Miller, a Hells Angels member who turned government witness, Zito and another Hells Angel, Philip "Lightfoot" Kramer, used a remote-controlled device from a model airplane to detonate C-4 explosives attached to a vehicle belonging to Giangarra, who survived without serious injury. Zito was never charged with the bombing, although he was variously convicted of weapons possession, when police discovered a loaded pistol, ammunition and brass knuckles in his car, criminal possession of a controlled substance (Quaaludes), and disorderly conduct."

Still no sign of Melania, even after the verdict.

Trump tries to move past his guilty verdict by attacking the criminal justice system

    excerpt:

"He also circled back to some of the same authoritarian themes he has repeatedly focused on in speeches and rallies, painting the U.S. under Biden as a “corrupt” and “fascist” nation.

His son Eric Trump and daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, joined him, but his wife, Melania Trump, who has been publicly silent since the verdict, was not seen."

Trump currently has a reasonable chance of winning in 2024 and having the last laugh.

The House and Senate are evenly divided and could go to either party in 2024.

Trump could pardon all of his rioters and shut down the two federal criminal cases against him.

He could try to use the federal government to go after state justice systems to retaliate against NY and GA for its criminal cases against him.

Summary of Trump's explicit threats to retaliate against his perceived enemies who he perceives are attacking him.

Trump has threatened dozens of times to use the government to target political enemies - CREW | Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington

    excerpt:

"Trump has “reTruthed” others’ posts about Biden that are even more threatening, and sometimes violent. In June he reposted a clip from Representative Marjorie Taylor Green where she asserted, “Joe Biden shouldn’t just be impeached, he should be handcuffed and hauled out of the White House for his crimes.” Trump posted a screenshot of a different post saying the FBI should “raid all of [Biden’s] residences and seize anything they want, including his passports.”"

Mike Johnson wants the U.S. Supreme Court to step into Trump's conviction in NY.

Jim Jordan is asking that Alvin Bragg of NY appear before the 'Weaponization Of The Federal Government' committee in the House that Jordan started.

Where Jordan is trying to go with that one is unknown. That would be a 'Weaponization of the NY State and Local Government' committee (which doesn't exist), not one in Congress where the GOP claims (without evidence) that the federal government is being weaponized against the GOP.

Few options available for Trump to overturn hush money conviction.

Merchan ran a tight court, which he is known for doing. It leaves fewer options for Trump's defense team.

Trump Has Few Ways to Overturn His Conviction as a New York Felon

    excerpt:

"Over a lifetime spent in legal gray areas, Mr. Trump has developed a knack for delaying or dodging criminal consequences. Just as law enforcement authorities would appear to close in on him, and his adversaries assumed he was on the ropes, Mr. Trump would prevail.

In his four years as president, Mr. Trump survived two impeachments, a federal investigation and a special counsel inquiry. In his post-presidential life, he has been indicted four times in four different cities, but three of those cases are mired in delays, thanks in part to the U.S. Supreme Court.

He was, to foes and friends alike, “Teflon Don.”

But now, just like every other criminal defendant in New York, the deck is stacked against him. Appeals courts typically frown upon overturning jury decisions, barring some glaring error or misconduct."

Salem Media Group pulls "2,000 Mules" film and book from its platforms.

Dinesh D’Souza election fraud film, book ‘2000 Mules’ pulled after defamation suit – NBC New York

    excerpt:

"Salem Media Group removed the influential election denial conspiracy film "2000 Mules" and a related book from its platforms and will cease distributing them.

"2000 Mules" was produced by conservative gadfly Dinesh D'Souza, who argued President Joe Biden defeated Donald Trump through widespread ballot fraud.

Salem Media apologized to Mark Andrews, a Georgia man who was accused in the film of ballot stuffing, and who later sued the company, D'Souza, and the group True the Vote for defamation."

Producer of "2,000 Mules" truther film issues apology.

    https://www.npr.org/2024/05/31/g-s1...lection-conspiracy-theory-film-issues-apology

    excerpt:

"The Georgia Bureau of Investigation cleared Andrews of wrongdoing, and found he was legally dropping off ballots for members of his family. Andrews filed a defamation lawsuit against Salem, as well as the team behind the movie: right wing commentator Dinesh D’Souza, and the group True the Vote.

Though “2,000 Mules” has been widely debunked by law enforcement officials and the media, including NPR, the film and book developed a widespread following among supporters of the false claim that the 2020 election was stolen.

According to Andrews’ lawsuit, the allegations in “2,000 Mules” led to violent threats against him and his family. “They worry that again they will be baselessly accused of election crimes, and that believers in the ‘mules’ theory may recognize and seek reprisal against them, and that they may face physical harm,” the lawsuit alleged."

Blanche said on Friday that he will appeal Trump's conviction quickly and hopes for an overturning quickly.

Blanche is now in a hurry after doing everything to stall the NY hush money case and trial.
