Opinion | Donald Trump Is Unfit to Lead excerpt: "He lies blatantly and maliciously, embraces racists, abuses women and has a schoolyard bully’s instinct to target society’s most vulnerable. He has delighted in coarsening and polarizing the town square with ever more divisive and incendiary language. Mr. Trump is a man who craves validation and vindication, so much that he would prefer a hostile leader’s lies to his own intelligence agencies’ truths and would shake down a vulnerable ally for short-term political advantage. His handling of everything from routine affairs to major crises was undermined by his blundering combination of impulsiveness, insecurity and unstudied certainty."
Giuliani is trying to save his law license by saying that he was pressed into service by Trump at the last minute and didn't have sufficient time to consider if his services were ethical or criminal. To save DC license, Giuliani argues 'perhaps' negligent 2020 election lawyering only hurt Trump excerpt: “Mr. Giuliani was representing a client in a fast-moving election law challenge that did not permit him to investigate fully his client’s position as he would normally do in any other case,” the brief said.
Giuliani is using a happenstance type of argument, that he couldn't anticipate and control what happened to him.
Trump could send the military in to assist his rioters to threaten the members of Congress because he thinks it's his official duty to make sure an election was done fairly. Seal Team 6 killing? Trump may be immune for that and more
An appropriate intro to Trump at the RNC convention in Milwaukee: 'And now here he is (an hour late), your convicted felon, to be nominated with the help of unfairly treated, criminally charged fake electors at this convention, the candidate who refers to your beloved Milwaukee as a shit-hole crime city, Donald Trump!'
Biden refers to Kamala Harris as Vice President Trump and refers to Ukraine president Zelensky as Putin at press conference. After Putin Gaffe, Biden Calls Kamala Harris "Vice President Trump" At Press Meet
Judge Cannon seems to be afflicted with a type of obsessive disorder and also an attention deficit issue that causes her to go off on a tangent that isn't relevant to the case but seems intriguing to her. She has a tendency to nitpick details that aren't nearly as important as other details that she often dismisses or puts off to grapple with at a later date, especially when it's in favor of Trump. She has a propensity to entertain fringe ideas and admit into the court for actual oral argument people who under any other judge would never be permitted into the court. It's like she's bringing in everything including the kitchen sink to be entertained in front of her. All of that excess baggage is subject to her obsession with endless little details that aren't relevant. It can create a mammoth backlog quickly. It's not known how much of this behavior of hers is being done because of her desire to coddle Trump and how much stems from her personality. In her previous work, she was known for being strict with defendants. She has almost no experience as a trial judge, which would explain some of her behavior that lacks prompt, efficient decision-making on the fly. She has also declined to use the assistance of experienced magistrate judges around her to handle some of the issues for her, seemingly wanting to do it all by herself. Cannon is used to being in an appeals setting going through little details raised by the parties after a trial had already been completed. She's projecting this onto cases that have yet to even go to trial, making a case seem like it's already in the appeals process. This is ideal for Trump who wants to delay with every possible appeal-type motion.
Trump wants Biden's condition to look bad but stay just under the threshold that would trigger his removal. https://www.politico.com/news/2024/07/11/trump-allies-biden-press-conference-00167763 excerpt: "Former President Donald Trump’s advisers and allies viewed President Joe Biden’s press conference as the best-case scenario for the Republican’s campaign: not enough to force him out but with enough errors that they can mine the event for opposition material. Trump’s campaign is still hoping Biden stays in the race, believing he is the weakest candidate for the former president to face in November. His strategy, in part, centers on the notion that Biden is not mentally fit to be president."
Trump has been relatively quiet about Biden and the race in general since the first debate, which is unusual for Trump who always wants the spotlight on him. His handlers have managed to quiet him down to allow the spotlight to be on Biden. Trump has been doing many days of golfing since the debate.
What a campaign. Trump repeatedly referring to Biden as 'Obama'. Referring to Nikki Haley as 'Pelosi'. Biden referring to VP Harris as 'Trump'. Referring to Zelensky as 'Putin'.
Like Trump, Boebert likes to promote law and order while violating it. Colorado's Lauren Boebert has a history of minor arrests, court no-shows excerpt: "Congressional candidate Lauren Boebert — who often espouses a pro-police, law-and-order message on the campaign trail — has been arrested and summonsed at least four times over the past decade, records show. While the three arrests and one court-ordered summons were for petty crimes — and in one case all charges were dropped — Boebert’s record is unusually long for a congressional candidate. It has become a campaign issue as the Republican from Rifle competes in a highly anticipated contest against Diane Mitsch Bush in the 3rd Congressional District, which spans western and southern Colorado."
How the printing of ballots could put Democrats on deadline to potentially replace Biden excerpts: "Given that some states will begin certifying the names to appear on the 2024 ballots by early September, Democrats will likely need to make a decision on whether Biden is their nominee before this date in order to avoid any potential confusion on the ballot." "And Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Kansas, Montana, New Mexico, Ohio, Oregon, Utah and Washington allow voters the least amount of time, giving them 30 days before the election."
Trump is still lying that the money from import tariffs is coming from China and that it will reduce the U.S. national debt. People in the U.S. who import will have to pay the tariffs. The higher cost is eventually transferred to the U.S. consumer which is inflationary. Trump's tariff wars won't help pay the U.S. debt. It will tend to make prices of goods higher by creating chaos and inefficiencies in the supply chain as countries try to find alternative sources of goods to avoid tariffs and retaliatory tariffs. The higher prices will tend to increase the national debt because the country will be paying more for what it needs. The tariffs wars are a needless introduction of inefficiency worldwide. During Trump's term, U.S. companies were moving part of their operations overseas to avoid retaliatory tariffs of other countries. Foreign companies were moving some of their operations to the U.S. to avoid the U.S. import tariffs. It's the opposite of what Trump wanted. https://www.cnn.com/2024/06/27/politics/read-biden-trump-debate-rush-transcript/index.html excerpt: "TAPPER: Well, I’m going to ask you a follow-up. You can do whatever you want with the minute that we give you. I want to follow up. You want to impose a 10 percent tariff on all goods coming into the U.S. How will you ensure that that doesn’t drive prices even higher? TRUMP: Not going to drive them higher. It’s just going to cause countries that have been ripping us off for years, like China and many others, in all fairness to China – it’s going to just force them to pay us a lot of money, reduce our deficit tremendously, and give us a lot of power for other things."
Trump accuses China of ripping off the U.S., but Trump and his daughter Ivanka import clothing from China cheap and sell it at high end outlets like Macy's. Trump made an exemption on his import tariffs for clothing because he knew his tariffs would hurt his own import clothing business. The rest of the goods that saw his tariffs hurt American businesses like the tariffs on clothing from China would have hurt Trump's import clothing business had he not made an exemption for himself.
No mention in the platform of what used to be Trump's rants against big corporations, Wall Street, Big Tech, and bitcoin, the entities he accused Hillary Clinton of embracing. In 2016, Trump tried to portray himself as a populist for the working class who was against the 'big everything'. What has remained in Trump's psyche is anti-immigration and animosity toward other countries, particularly China, that he wants to damage with his trade wars. Trump Isn’t Even Pretending Anymore excerpt: "Today, Trump is back at the helm of the Republican Party, but the anti-corporate rhetoric has disappeared. This time around, the former president isn’t even pretending to stand up to corporate power: He’s defending big business, cozying up to billionaires, and wooing CEOs. And instead of paying an electoral price for this reversal, the polls suggest that he’s winning over more voters—specifically, more working-class voters—than ever before. Trump’s first victory opened the door to an economically populist version of the GOP. His second could very well close it. Central to Trump’s 2016 pitch was that politicians on both sides of the aisle had been captured by wealthy donors and corporate lobbyists. “Big business, elite media, and major donors are lining up behind the campaign of my opponent because they know she will keep our rigged system in place,” he declared at his speech accepting the Republican presidential nomination. But he, Trump, would be different."
Ivan Raiklin, Trump’s “Secretary of Retribution” has compiled a “Deep State target list” of 350 people he wants to see arrested and punished for “treason” if Trump is reelected. The list includes Democratic and Republican elected officials, journalists he considers to be Trump’s enemies, U.S. Capitol Police officers, and witnesses against Trump in his impeachment trials and the hearings concerning the events of January 6, 2021. Raiklin said the list was just the beginning. “This is the scratching of the surface of who is going to be criminalized for their treason, okay?” Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD); “His hit list is a vigilante death warrant for hundreds of Americans and a clear and present danger to the survival of American democracy and freedom.” Trump’s ‘secretary of retribution’ has a ‘target list’ of 350 people he wants arrested

That's truly frightening. Could you imagine if the Democrats put out a laundry list of who to attack ?
