That looks staged. There were that many shots and no-one in the crowd got hit? The blood in that photo looks fake, not to mention if you look at the video clip, at no point were the people in that photo in that exact position and the "blood" wasn't smeared on his face either. This is just a publicity stunt to gain public sympathy and further enrage his supporters.

Elon Musk endorses Trump just after he was shot.

    excerpt:

"I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery," Musk posted, opens new tab on his social media platform X.

"The martyr lived," he wrote, opens new tab in a later post, citing a reported debate between conservative venture capitalist Peter Thiel and LinkedIn co-founder and Democratic megadonor Reid Hoffman.

Musk later posted a photograph of Trump at the event, followed by: "Last time America had a candidate this tough was Theodore Roosevelt."

Journalist Nico Hines glorified Trump just after the shooting.

Trump Just Created One of the Most Iconic Photos in U.S. History

    excerpt:

"Donald Trump just struck one of the most iconic poses in U.S. history.

With his fist-raised salute of defiance, Donald Trump has entered the iconography of American history–regardless of whether his projection of strength after an apparent assassination attempt is enough to win him re-election to the White House.

He punches into the air as blood runs down his face. The Associated Press photograph, taken from beneath the stage by photographer Anna Money, shows the Secret Service grabbing him as he turns to the crowd."

Trump allies blame Biden and Democrats for shooting.

Vance is using the shooting of Trump to continue to audition for the VP slot.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/07/13/trump-shooting-blame-biden-democrats/

    excerpt:

“The central premise of the Biden campaign is that President Donald Trump is an authoritarian fascist who must be stopped at all costs,” Vance wrote. “That rhetoric led directly to President Trump’s attempted assassination.”

Trump assassination attempt makes election win more likely, and Americans' willingness to use political violence may be highest since Civil War, Ian Bremmer says

    excerpt:

"In the short term, he said the image of Trump raising his fist in the air with blood streaked across his face while Secret Service agents carry him to safety will contrast dramatically with President Joe Biden.

Trump’s Democratic opponent has been fighting off calls to exit the race after a disastrous debate performance last month, when he appeared frail and confused, reinforcing existing concerns about his age.

“It makes it more likely that Trump wins,” Bremmer said Saturday, as Trump’s reaction to the shooting “is the opposite of frail.”

Indeed, Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced minutes after the shooting that he was endorsing Trump, saying the “Last time America had a candidate this tough was Theodore Roosevelt.”"

Good for Trump that Elon Musk isn't making electric boats.

    https://www.reuters.com/world/us/el...-endorses-tough-trump-posts-photo-2024-07-13/

    excerpt:

"Then in late 2022, Twitter reversed its ban on former U.S. President Trump shortly after Musk completed his $44 billion purchase of the controversial social media platform, which he later renamed X.

Last month, Trump said he was "a fan of Elon," adding "he does an incredible job with Tesla."
Musk said at a recent Tesla shareholder meeting that the two men had "some conversations."
Trump is a "huge fan" of Tesla's electric pickup trucks, Musk said.

Trump has reiterated his pledge to immediately abandon the Biden administration's "mandate" to support the electric vehicle industry."

America now has an opportunity to rally behind Trump (who has provoked violence, sat for hours while it ensued, and failed to denounce the violence spawned by his divisive rhetoric) and make him president again because he was shot.

Wonder what Trump would have felt if security had sat at his rally and done nothing for three hours while violence ensued.

    excerpt:

"Chris LaCivita, a top adviser to Trump’s campaign, posted on social media a sentiment similar to Vance’s, blaming the attack on efforts by Trump’s political enemies to disrupt his candidacy. “[W]ell of course they tried to keep him off the ballot, they tried to put him in jail and now you see this …” LaCivita wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, before later deleting the post."

Trump plans to speak at the RNC convention in Milwaukee next Thursday evening.

Trump being shot takes the wind out of Biden's campaigning against him, which was already quite deflated.

Biden has temporarily suspended all ads against Trump.

Richard Simmons dies the same day that Trump gets another lucky break and barely survives a shooting that will probably boost his campaign.
