According to classical physics theory, the excrement has only started to accelerate towards the proverbial fan. It will eventually reach 25% of the speed of light.
Here’s how Trump’s vengeance machine works “I JUST GOT THE NEWS FROM MY LAWYER… I GOT A PARDON BABY! THANK YOU PRESIDENT TRUMP!!!” Jacob Chansley, dubbed the QAnon shaman as a reflection of his horned-animal headdress and body paint that day, posted on X. “NOW I AM GONNA BY SOME MOTHA FU*KIN GUNS!!! I LOVE THIS COUNTRY!!! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!”
Pete Hegseth has been confirmed as Secretary of Defense and Kristi Noem has been confirmed as Secretary of Homeland Security. We can't even stop Trump's goofy cabinet picks. I would say the clowns are running the circus but clowns have more integrity!
What is the likelihood that the Donald is eyeballing the newly-available land in LA County for potential use as concentration camps for "undesirables"? (as long as he doesn't confiscate the asset of celebrities, scions, movie stars, musicians, CEOs, influencers, and 'special' people)
Anyways, I was just going to add one thing to this discussion here. A word of advice to Democrats, and Republicans who oppose Trump (most, I hope). Whatever happens here, or after this, I had a political science teacher who told us in 1997, religious conservatives want to rewrite the Constitution. Either load it up with amendments (which they probably won't be able to do) or hold another constitutional convention, and start over again with a new constitution. DON'T LET THEM DO IT. Religious conservatives hold all the power at the state level. So if the constitution is rewritten, it won't be by the people of the US, it will be by whoever is in charge of states. In other words, religious conservatives. And they will take away all our rights, and make our democratic process less democratic. Not just the electoral college, but something even worse. Not just the Senate where each state, from the smallest to the largest, has equal power, but something worse. Or maybe just keep the Senate, and get rid of the House of Representatives. And the bill of rights? Well, they might begrudgingly allow one. But with very few rights. (Maybe as Bill Maher says just the three G's: guns, God and (no) gays.) Anyways, there is some tweaking that is probably needed in the Constitution. Term limits for the Supreme Court, doing away with the electoral college. And let's do away with the Senate for sure. But don't let anyone ratify a new constitution. It's a bad idea. In fact even if the constitutional convention was dominated by liberals, even if it was equally divided between the two, it still is a bad idea. Will we need a new constitution some day? Probably. But still: don't ever allow that. It is a bad idea no matter how you look at it.
Trump has made a lot of promises to the religious right, whether he'll live up to them remains to be seen. He's not exactly a pious man. https://www.usnews.com/opinion/arti...for-trump-will-he-deliver-a-kingdom-of-christ
Something like 3/4 of his executive orders were proposals from the Heritage Foundation from Project 2025. He even revised his definition of gender to state gender is determined at conception, as to not challenge the religious right's definition of life. Seems like the religious right are the only people benefitting from him
