Voting for Trump out of spite for Harris isn't a remedy. https://www.politico.com/news/2025/02/06/trump-arab-americans-dearborn-michigan-00203018 excerpt: "Donald Trump won Dearborn, Michigan, a traditionally Democratic Arab American enclave, thanks largely to outrage over Kamala Harris and the Biden administration’s stance on Israel. Some are starting to have regrets. After Trump unveiled a plan to “take over” Gaza and relocate nearly 2 million Palestinians to neighboring countries, two mayors in the region who had stumped for Trump have gone silent. And some Dearborn residents have been left horrified by the president’s attitude toward Palestinians."

Trump says he will announce reciprocal tariffs on many countries next week. https://www.politico.com/news/2025/02/07/trump-reciprocal-tariffs-announced-next-week-00203165
Trump continues to lie that tariffs are money from other countries that go to the U.S. He did make a Freudian slip after the California wild fires when he said he might make an exception for import tariffs on building materials for the state so that items wouldn't be as expensive, which acknowledges that Americans pay for his tariffs. https://www.politico.com/news/2025/02/07/trump-reciprocal-tariffs-announced-next-week-00203165 excerpt: “Under the Trump Reciprocal Trade Act, other countries will have two choices — they’ll get rid of their tariffs on us, or they will pay us hundreds of billions of dollars, and the United States will make an absolute FORTUNE,” Trump said in a campaign video.
https://www.politico.com/news/2025/02/07/trump-reciprocal-tariffs-announced-next-week-00203165 excerpt: "President Donald Trump on Friday said he would be announcing tariffs next week that match the duties imposed by other countries, in what would be a major shift from his previous threat to impose an across-the-board tariff on all imports from across the world. “I’ll be announcing that next week, reciprocal trade, so that we’re treated evenly with other countries,” he told reporters at a press briefing with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba. “We don’t want any more, any less.” The president had previously threatened to impose a flat 10 or 20 percent universal tariff, and had tasked his administration with studying that possibility as part of a broader trade review due by April."
If the helicopter had been flying 100 feet lower like it should have been, it would have missed colliding with the passenger jet by 100 feet. That doesn't seem like a regular, acceptable risk margin. Inject all of Trump's non-stop chaos and uncertainty into 100-foot safety margins and see what happens.
Not to worry. Trump will fix it with Musk's 19-year-old underlings who have been given the keys to the private files of all the government agencies so that they can dispose of all workers and programs related to DEI, real or perceived, that Trump publicly said he thinks compromise air traffic control. Trump said publicly at a news gathering that he thinks Musk's young underlings would be better air traffic controllers. Musk can hire 19-year-olds out of Trump University Flight School to handle U.S. aviation. That's a thought for the public to ponder while boarding their next flight.
For the unlucky ones on a plane that's going down due to Trump, they can blurt out "Yay! Hannibal Lecter! He's a great guy!"

Trump remarks this week about Canada. Those issues were supposedly settled during Trump's first term when his team edited NAFTA which was renamed USMCA. Trump: "Canada has been very tough for oil on energy. They don't allow our farm products in, essentially. They don't allow a lot of things in. And we allow everything to come in as being a one-way street."
Trump's remark: “We pay hundreds of Billions of Dollars to SUBSIDIZE Canada. Why? There is no reason. We don’t need anything they have. ……. Therefore, Canada should become our Cherished 51st State. Much lower taxes, and far better military protection for the people of Canada — AND NO TARIFFS!”
