Being bisexual or gay in today's MAGA society.........

Well, politically, CA has been messy for a long time and keen to throw their significant weight around and not all that unlike how Texas thinks the world revolves around them - and they still talk about leaving the US but haven't managed to do it yet. CA isn't talking secession (yet) but they realize that they have clout to push back on government bullshit and, politically, they're usually Red but that depends on some stuff; they were cyanotic blue when Obama was running, went Red when Trump first ran for office, turned blue again for Biden and back to Red when the man who would be king won again.

My protege is a rabid political animal and loves to hit me up to talk about Republican flaws and what we need to do to deal with their dumb shit and, on one such day, I asked him when he was going to run for office in his city/state since he felt so strongly about Republicans destroying CA's laid back nature and all that good stuff. It just makes me glad I don't live there.

But to get back on-topic, I'm still waiting to hear from those who are - or might be - of a mind that they're in danger because they're gay/bi and because of the idiot and his henchmen sitting in DC. This isn't sticking our heads in the sand and acting like none of this bullshit is happening - because it clearly is - but if no one knows that you're gay/bi, um, why would the politics bother you and more so when you consider that this religion-based mindset has been around like frigging forever and men and women have been expressing their non-heterosexuality throughout time and across generation to generation so even when the government gave its best efforts to eradicate homosexuality - or not being heterosexual - they fail and just like governments throughout time have consistently failed.

Or as I heard somewhere before, "You might get some of us... but you won't get all of us." And then, there's this: If the witch hunt is about to begin anew, wouldn't that imply that bisexuality is and has been real all along? Otherwise, these amoral bible thumping MAGA idiots are even more insane than they appear to be because they're supposedly pitching a bitch about something that doesn't exist and, um, sexuality, as it turns out, doesn't much give a fuck about one's political alliances and I'm still wondering if those MAGAs who aren't straight are the ones who really should be worried.

There's a reason why there are sexual laws on the books in every state (and internal municipalities) that makes sexual acts like fellatio and anal sex illegal and immoral and even for married couples to engage in (but I don't recall seeing a law against cunnilingus, but I might have overlooked that one) and all of those laws were deemed to be unenforceable since, unless you caught someone in the act of doing it, it all takes place behind closed doors and what happens in bedrooms has forever been deemed to be off-limits to nosy motherfuckers like your local government.

So, if you're with a guy behind closed doors and y'all are giving each other da bizness, are you really afraid of some political-based shit jumping off to fuck your life up when those who'd try to fuck your life up would have to know or suspect that you're not heterosexual and... how the fuck do they prove it? Do you believe they're just going to start rounding up people they suspect might not be straight and doing some more illegal shit because that asshole in DC says it's okay to keep acting like they're above the laws and said laws don't apply to them?

And don't you have more important things to be concerned about, like, when you can get your next (or first) dick fix? Hmm?

I didn't know that trying to overthrow the government paid so well. I have never been so politically opposed to someone in my life. A woman I love with my heart and soul praises this fucker like he's the second coming of Jesus Christ and God and like he's doing such great things for America, you know, like pardoning the fuckers who, at his bidding, tried to overthrow the government. She's a smart cookie but seeing that she's drank his Kool-Aid, I love her still, but I now question her intelligence and that's something I thought that I'd never do to anyone I know. I did get into an "argument" with one of her MAGA friends and I fucking destroyed him and told him, "You'd better ask her about me because, clearly, you have no idea who you're fucking with..."

I learned, from her, that she hung him out to dry on this one and he's never said another thing to me, which is wise on his part. Still, of all the things that I now feel fear over where our country is concerned, I'm not worried about the MAGA homophobes; I am secure in my sexuality... and before many of those MAGA fuckers were born and maybe before their parents were born. I have no fear of them or the head of their cult.

 

I've read that, just as it had been during his previous stint at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, America, once again, is even more divided than it was during the Civil War; I've read about long-time friends splitting up. families being torn apart, and more venomous hostility than you can imagine.

It took Biden several years to begin healing the massive rifts between us; today, that "healing" is now a raw, smarting wound, laid wide open.

A cousin of mine told me that some of her neighbors will no longer speak to her; and, that, in church (of all places) she has seen "God-fearing church folk", who once greeted each other and chatted after services, now give one another the cold shoulder.

Personally, I do not think that the "MAGA" wrecking crew has any idea of strong and resilient the gay/bi community really is.

They clearly expect gay/bi men to cower in fear and quiver in their boots, waiting for the storm clouds to pass.
