All foreign cars had a screw jack which almost all cars have now but American cars had what is probably best called a pump jack. You would take a long lever usually a combo lug nut wrench and hub cab remover and with each pump the car would go up a notch. It was a little more work but a lot faster but some said not as safe as a screw jack.
Bumper jack, cuz it went on the bumper. If the car moved it'd kick the jack out and fall. Never saw that imp. Flash your lights? Honk your horn? Kiss your girl? I used to speed shift with my Dart. Wind it out until it was ready to blow up then punch 2nd gear! Problem with them buttons was they'd jam sometimes then you had to climb under the dash an unstick um. Never saw so many springs! Here's a link to 4 tracks:
Yep, your right it's a called a bumper jack. As for the Imp at the drive-in, if you'll look at the picture of the Muntz Jet, you'll see it has two spot lights. Back in the 50s it was cool to have two of them on your car and when the Imp jumped around you were suppose to follow it with your spot lights.
I only know 2 and maybe 3 What was the button on the floor of all American cars used for? Open the trunk? Whats a party line? - A line with multiple houses on it...... Air raid sound: All at once? (I dunno if I got this one right)
Didnt notice that correction had already been pointed out. Q) Who played Kato in the Green Hornet tv series? Who played the lead character in 'The Rifleman' What was the title of the tv western Clint Eastwood was in? What original live action tv series was The Flintstones based on? What was the characters name of the butler in the Jack Benny Show? What was the name of the dog in 'The littlelist
What was the crime Luke committed to land him in prison in Cool Hand Luke? What were 'pedal Pushers' ? What was the original national anthem of Canada? What was the name of the astronaut who took the first steps on the moon? ( trick question)
He was in at least two TV westerns whether as main character or in just one episode. Shan't say more until someone gets an answer.
The button on the floor was for high beams Roy Roger's dog was...Trigger? You had to sift flour? Idk, I thought you still did (I do) so I don't know if that is the right answer. I believe a church key is a can opener. Party line was a phone line I think. Was it when several different houses shared the same number? That's all I know. I've got no clue on the rest of them
Oh gosh, I know SIFT FLOUR (because I do that all the time with bread baking, even though I use a metal strainer instead of a contraption. I also know PARTY LINE listening to my great- grandma talking about what they first had when they were married
