From what I've been reading, California leaders arew (most understandably) greatly outraged, blasting DC over the Pentagon's orders to the Navy, to rename the USNS "Harvey Milk".

It also should be noted that Mr. Milk was also a Korean War veteran, who was forced out of his position of serving this country, to tyo his sexuality.

Since WHEN does one's sexuality define WHAT kind a soldier an individual is?

And yet, the military used to show the enlisted men animated cartoons and short films, about "safe sex" with women, and avoiding "VD".

Guess promiscuous behavior is ACCEPTABLE in the armed forces, as long as its HETEROSEXUAL.........what fucking hypocriscy........

 

It's the ghost of what it was like to grow up in the 1950s and being bisexual. Homophobia ruled the roost and people gave the biblical law in the Old Testament more weight and power than it deserved given the outdated and inaccurate notions it supported and fostered. It wasn't tolerated then, it won't be tolerated now because as I keep saying, no matter what the fuck goes on in DC, everyone who isn't straight is still going to not be straight and will continue to go on about their lives and in the best way they can and just like we've been doing all along.
