From Oscar Ruiz, via Psychedelic Synchronicity:

“Jonathan Ott died the day before yesterday at his home in Xalapa. He died after two weeks of bedridden life. The world's greatest ethnobotanist has passed away with him.
RIP Jonathan Ott (June 1, 1949 Hartford, Connecticut - July 2, 2025 Xalapa, Mexico)”

Ott translated Hoffman’s LSD: My Problem Child into English. He also translated may books into Castilian (a language related to Spanish).

Ott was a warrior for the psychedelic experience.

Thank you for reminding me of this genius!

He is right up there with people like Terrance McKenna. His work was profound.

Also a good reminder about Erowid, an excellent resource!
