Thought: Go to all of the three credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) separately. They collect and maintain information about your credit history, which is used to create credit reports and scores that lenders rely on for making credit decisions.
Select to "Freeze your credit.". If and when you purchase something on credit go to the one credit bureau your lender suggests and "Unfreeze" it temporarily. Then Freeze it again.

During a 'cabinet meeting' that lasted over three hours, Trump rambled while his subordinates praising him.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2025/08/26/us/politics/trump-cabinet-meeting.html

    excerpt:

And then there was Steve Witkoff, a billionaire whose praise was so slavish that even the president seemed to pick up on the overkill. During his turn, Mr. Witkoff, the president’s peace envoy, complimented Mr. Trump’s leadership in the Israel-Gaza conflict, a war that continued this week with Israeli strikes killing 20, including journalists, at a Gazan hospital. He suggested again that Mr. Trump should receive the Nobel Peace Prize he has long coveted.

“There’s only one thing I wish for: that the Nobel committee finally gets its act together and realizes that you are the single finest candidate since the Nobel Peace, this Nobel award was ever talked about,” Mr. Witkoff said.

SCSEP funding freeze: Trump axes $300 million aid for low-income seniors — thousands left struggling - The Economic Times

    excerpt:

According to the National Council on Aging (NCOA), over 25,000 seniors have already been furloughed by early August. A spokesperson for the Department of Labor mentioned that “the funding for SCSEP national grantees is under review,” without offering further details. The funding pause follows after a White House proposal earlier this year labeled the $405 million program, calling it inefficient and claiming it directed money to organizations promoting diversity, inclusion (DEI) and equity.

It was over three hours of Trump's usual type of topics.

His faucet 'drip, drip, drip' story and what he calls his luxurious hair.

How he fixed dish washing machines for women.

    Wind turbines cause cancer.

    The late, great Hannibal Lecter.

How he 'won' the 'water wars' in California.

Listening to his cabinet members praise him profusely.

Of the many attacks on police at Trump's deadly riot at the Capitol, one of them involved his rioters (now pardoned by Trump) stealing a taser from police officer Fanone, tasing him in the nexk repeatedly, and nearly killing him.

Trump refers to that behavior as a 'love-fest'.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2025/08/27/world/europe/trump-denmark-greenland-us-embassy.html

    excerpt:

"Denmark summoned the head of the U.S. Embassy in Copenhagen on Wednesday after allegations emerged that three Americans with ties to President Trump were running “covert influence operations” in Greenland.

Mr. Trump has repeatedly said that he wants the United States to “get” Greenland, a huge, strategically important island, mostly in the Arctic, that is a territory of Denmark.

The allegations were published by Denmark’s main public broadcaster on Wednesday morning. Within hours, the Danish Foreign Ministry summoned the current head of the embassy, the chargé d’affaires, for a meeting."

Sounds like Trump is at it again.

The Mr. Nice Guy approach of sending his son to Greenland to try to make friends didn't work. He was laughed away by Greenlanders.

Trump upset with Utah ruling against gerrymandering.

    https://www.politico.com/news/2025/08/27/trump-utah-redistricting-ruling-00532668

    excerpts:

"The president accused Judge Dianna Gibson of political bias for ruling that the state can no longer use its current maps and must draw new lines in compliance with an independent commission."

“How did such a wonderful Republican State like Utah, which I won in every Election, end up with so many Radical Left Judges?,” Trump wrote on social media. “All Citizens of Utah should be outraged at their activist Judiciary, which wants to take away our Congressional advantage, and will do everything possible to do so.”

Trump news at a glance: top CDC officials resign over ‘weaponization of public health’

    excerpt:

US officials announced CDC director Susan Monarez had left her role just weeks after being sworn in. This was followed by the resignations of three senior CDC officials – Dr Debra Houry, the chief medical officer, Dr Daniel Jernigan, director of the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases, and Dr Demetre Daskalakis, director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases.

Daskalakis told colleagues “I am not able to serve in this role any longer because of the ongoing weaponization of public health”, according to an email obtained by STAT, a health news site.

Houry echoed his concerns and wrote that “ongoing changes prevent me from continuing in my job as a leader of the agency”, adding that science should “never be censored or subject to political interpretations”.

    Monarez refuses to leave post.

Showdown at CDC as director refuses to leave post, amid pressure from Trump administration

    excerpt:

Lawyers for Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Susan Monarez said Wednesday evening that she would not leave her post as a top public health official, despite attempts by White House officials and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to oust her for "protecting the public" over "a political agenda."

"When CDC Director Susan Monarez refused to rubber-stamp unscientific, reckless directives and fire dedicated health experts, she chose protecting the public over serving a political agenda. For that, she has been targeted," Monarez's lawyers Mark Zaid and Abbe Lowell said in a statement.
