Trump talking like he's going to sue ABC again.

    https://www.axios.com/2025/09/24/trump-jimmy-kimmel-return-abc

    excerpt:

"I think we're going to test ABC out on this. Let's see how we do. Last time I went after them, they gave me $16 Million," Trump said in reference to the network settling his lawsuit over comments made by anchor George Stephanopoulos.

"This one sounds even more lucrative. A true bunch of losers!" he added.

White House Pulls 180 on Hundreds of Workers Fired by DOGE

    excerpt:

"DOGE also planned to cancel more than half of the GSA’s 7,500 leases and sell hundreds of government owned buildings. It’s clear now that they seriously overreached, with 131 leases expiring before employees actually moved out of the buildings.

The chaos DOGE caused—and the backtracking they’re doing now—shows that the federal bureaucracy is not as wasteful, fraudulent, and abusive as the world’s richest man constantly claimed it to be. DOGE’s “Wall of Receipts” pledged to save the U.S. $460 million just through lease cancellations. They didn’t even get close, as the savings are at an estimated $140 million."

The GSA is in shambles after Musk disposed of its workers.

    Trump is rehiring them.

Trump administration rehires hundreds of federal employees laid off by DOGE

    excerpt:

“Ultimately, the outcome was the agency was left broken and understaffed,” said Chad Becker, a former GSA real estate official. “They didn’t have the people they needed to carry out basic functions.”

Trump thinks autism doesn't exist in Cuba because people supposedly don't have the money to buy Tylenol.

    https://www.cnn.com/2025/09/23/americas/trump-autism-cuba-intl-latam

    excerpt:

“I mean, there’s a rumor, and I don’t know if it’s so or not, that Cuba, they don’t have Tylenol because they don’t have the money for Tylenol. And they have virtually no autism, OK. Tell me about that one,” Trump said at an event on Monday where he urged pregnant women to avoid taking Tylenol, which he claimed – despite a lack of scientific evidence – could cause autism in their unborn children.

Half of America voted that back into office, thinking he was going to solve all their problems.

It's beyond gullible. It's pathologically gullible.

Cannon seems to have a way of getting the most high profile cases and ones that involve Trump.

The way Cannon was assigned Trump's documents case is still obscure.

Trump's defense attorneys traveled to her courthouse directly instead of filing online, claiming an unspecified 'technical issue' forced them to file in person.

Filing electronically would have caused the case to be issued at random to a number of possible judges. Traveling to the courthouse and filing in person conjures up the possibility of under-the-table dealings to have the case assigned to Cannon.

Project 2025 architects want transgender people and allies designated as terrorists

Project 2025 architects want transgender people and allies designated as terrorists

    excerpt:

"The architects of the Project 2025 agenda now want the federal government to monitor and label transgender people and those close to them as terrorists.

The Heritage Foundation urged the FBI to add a new designation to its list of domestic violent extremist groups for Transgender Ideology-Inspired Violent Extremism, falsely claiming violence from trans people and allies is increasing."

That was the question asked to Kirk right before as he was shot (how many trans people have committed mass shootings compared with non-trans during the past decade).

Not knowing the answer, Kirk had one of his usual smart-alec answers to the first part of the question: "Too many" (to which some of the audience applauded a few seconds before the shooting)

Trump criticizes U.N. for failing to end wars and address immigration concerns

    excerpt:

Instead, he urged the nations before him to forge a new path in partnership with Washington, saying he believed the organization "has tremendous potential" while he touted his own successes and sharply criticizing many of theirs.

“I’m really good at this stuff,” he said. "Your countries are going to hell."

Bashing Kimmel puts Nexstar on the good side of Trump and his FCC.

    https://www.morningstar.com/news/ma...iminate-broadcast-ownership-rules-to-the-test

    excerpt:

"For decades, the Federal Communications Commission has operated a strict cap on the number of households one company is allowed to reach through the television stations it owns.

But the deal announced Tuesday that would see Nexstar Media Group Inc. (NXST) acquire Tegna Inc. (TGNA) for $6.2 billion in cash would create a company that would blow past that cap - if the transaction is allowed by the FCC.

The merger will put to the test the Trump administration's stated ambition to abolish those long-standing rules. Opponents argue that those limits were set by Congress, and that only Congress can change them.

Either way, Nexstar is clearly banking on the Trump administration to pave the way for the deal to go through."

    https://iowacapitaldispatch.com/2025/08/20/three-tv-stations-one-owner-whats-at-risk/

    excerpts:

"Nexstar already owns the largest number of local television stations in the country, more than 200. It owns WHO-TV Channel 13 in Des Moines. It announced plans Tuesday to buy Tegna, which owns 64 stations, including WOI-TV Channel 5 and KCWI-TV Channel 23 in Des Moines."

"If regulators approve, Nexstar would grow to a huge portfolio of about 265 stations. It would also blow right past ownership limits that the FCC has placed on stations for decades."

Trump threatens to withhold $10 million in SNAP funds to Kansas because governor won't turn over private information about recipients.

The money was taken away but is available again as the case works its way through the courts.

Feds follow through on threat to withhold SNAP funds - The Sentinel

    except:

According to a release from Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach, over the weekend, the USDA carried out its threat and took the funds away from Kansas, after the Kelly administration refused to comply with a September 19 deadline to supply basic information about Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program recipients in Kansas.

Earlier this month, Kobach sued Kansas Governor Laura Kelly and Department of Children and Families Secretary Laura Howard to force them to turn over data requested by the federal government.

Kelly and Howard have repeatedly refused to turn over enrollment data on the “Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program” to the United States Department of Agriculture, citing “privacy concerns.”
