What’s going on in Los Angeles exactly? I’m aware of the rampant crime, homelessness, and ridiculous cost of living due to being a Democrat run state and likely Democrat LA Mayor as well.

What are you talking about exactly?

It's interesting that California pays into the tax system more every year than what the Fed hands over to fund Texas every year. Damn Democrats with the fourth largest economy in the whole world.

I hate what Climate doom has done to mental health

“I don’t think most people realize how harmful teaching kids “we’re gonna die in 10 years and it’s all your fault lol and there’s nothing we can do about it” is. Not only that but it delays action because people give up because they feel like there’s nothing they can do. It’s affected mine real bad and led me down a doom spiral for the past maybe year with no end in sight.

Not only that but I’ve seen so many people say that they want humanity to die out because of the things big companies, greedy politicians etc have done to the planet. Not all of us are disgusting horrible people, and there are kids that don’t want to be scared of not being able to grow up and aren’t at fault for it.”

Effectively yes if you loo at the results of climate denial, given that all the info is available for you to understand the science but you willfully refuse to do so, no doubt for some snarky motive which has nothing to do with understanding science.

Vote for those who support fossil fuels over reneweable sources and you are effectively helping to push the climate over the edge. Anyone who thinks this is a trivial or comical matter is seriously mentally deficient or deranged in some way.

The trend is for glacial loss, and it is occurring rapidly. This is so not only in Antarctica, but wherever there are glaciers. The rate of warming is faster than at any time in earth's history.
One cannot dismiss this by looking at aberrant facts in isolation. Oh look, it's snowing, so there must be no climate change. That's the sort of argument we expect from MAGAt politicians.

Well now YOU’RE the Terrorist by being against Fossil Fuels since we’re now heading into an Ice Age.

“A key Atlantic current could be pushed to the brink of collapse within decades, supposedly ushering in a new ice age and dramatically raising sea levels, climate scientists have claimed in a controversial new study published in the journal Communications Earth & Environment.”

“By examining observational data dating back to 1960, the research team discovered that the mid-depth warming trend that spiked in the late 2000s, indicating that the AMOC’s decline began in the late 20th century.

Should the AMOC slow down too much, they claim, it could have significant ramifications. These include the extreme suggestion that temperatures across Europe to drop by nearly 60 degrees Fahrenheit.

Winters would be more typical of Arctic Canada and precipitation would decrease, also,” Jonathan Bamber, a professor of Earth observation at the University of Bristol, told the Daily Mail.

Coincidentally, the last time the AMOC collapsed was before the last Ice age that ended about 12,000 years ago, Reuters reported.”

Climate change denial is one form of science denial.
People deny certain aspects of science while accepting others, for various reasons.
For example they may reject climate science yet post about that rejection by using the latest technology such as cell phones, computers, and the internet, which are all based on scientific findings.
Certain aspects of science are rejected for various reasons such as bonding with certain groups, profit, ignorance, intellectual laziness, or over confidence in our own intellect.

Climate change denial is specifically addressed in the following Wikipedia article.

Are you denying the Ice Age?

You know what’s funny about this is that Science by its very nature is something that is self-correcting, with skepticism built into it.

Phrases such as “the Science is settled” are by nature anti-Science rhetoric.

Anyone is free to be skeptical of Einstein’s Theory of Relativity, for example. And considering the actual history of Science, chances are that it, along with Quantum Mechanics, will be shown to be incomplete theories in the grand scheme of things.

If you don’t believe me then see Kuhn and “The Structure of Scientific Revolutions”.

The same goes for any other type of Science, including Climate Change. Implying that people are not allowed to make up their own minds or question a Scientific doctrine is itself anti-Science.

Troll would be the appropriate term, since no sane HF member takes you seriously. I thought you were leaving us after confessing your nefarious ways (post 1155), but here you still are with the same uninformed sophistic drivel.Trolling is an addiction and a mental illness, you know, and it's a civic duty not to feed you--for your good and ours!.
