Thanks, man. I was paying to get it painted for the past few years and decided I needed to do it for a change.

I certainly did have that, and once upon a time did all my own repairs on the VW's I had. A '65, a '67' and a '68. My parents bought a '70 with automatic stick shift and I just shook my head and said no. You gotta take that to the shop for repairs. Worst VW? Anything with early fuel injection, like the VW squareback sedans.

...that shift thing was also in the Karman Ghia cars, no? "Automatic Shift" where you did have to go through the gears, but didn't need a clutch

    Auto Shift nightmare for sure.
    I’ve had a 69 and a 68, but really love’n the 65! Also have a 71 Convertible Karmann Ghia…it’s still undergoing a full restoration. That’s my baby!

Working all day and my boss noticed I have been wearing blue t shirts behind my work shirts in memory of a female in the trades whom was a welder. She was murdered by a fellow co worker whom planned it out last week because he did not like her. He understood and looked it up, Amber Czech whom was 20 years old through workplace violence. I went through it once at another shop I worked at, male co worker did not me and almost sexually assaulted me. I ended leaving that shop which I did sue them and got a big settlement from them. That male co worker lost his job and did time for attempted sexual assault. Plus I went through a year of counseling
