Guess the Object

It's not a drink.

 

Apparently my guess got buried, lol, it's a thermometer.

 

Acrylic cylinder with some kind of decorative gel inside

 

I think the whole thing is Acrylic by the looks of it

 

I agree! It’s a temperature thermometer!

 

It's actually made of glass, I think it's called a Galileo thermometer, it has these glass capsules inside with colored liquids of different densities, each one has a small brass tag on the bottom with a temperature embossed on it, as the temperature rises the density of the liquid makes them sink one by one, the lowest floating ball shows the temperature.

I found one while cleaning out my dad's stuff. My son kept it.
