Her two co-defendants, the billionaire Venezuelan-Italian banker and Britannia Financial Group founder Julio Martin Herrera Velutini and Mark Rossini, were also pardoned Thursday for their crimes in the bribery scheme, according to Justice Department records.

The plan to issue the pardons was first reported by CBS News.

Herrera Velutini's daughter, Isabel Herrera, donated $2.5 million in December 2024 and $1 million last July to the pro-Trump political action committee MAGA Inc., according to public records. A White House official told CBS News that the donations had nothing to do with the pardon.

Currently, Trump is back to his usual RCP favorability rating of 43% approval, 53% disapproval after a brief post-2024 election bump.

It's where he has been in general since early 2017. Those numbers are meager but were sufficient to elect him twice and indicate that the public is still willing to tolerate him.
